~Our June '09 adventure~ I'm home! Started TR 7/2

Anyway, my favorite memory associated with this ride is how DS would talk to people on the buses. We are social and generally get to talking. He had more fun telling people, very proudly I might add, that HE RODE TOWER of TERROR!::yes:: Especially when they were older people who were talking about how freaked out they were to ride it!:goodvibes

Aw that's so cute!! I love making friends with lil' kids on the bus!

Attraction of the Day...

Maharajah Jungle Trek

Well...for once, I don't have a memory! It's on my list because it's something new I want to do this trip! So please...share your stories, pictures, anything about this! I want to learn it all!

This is on our list too! We only did the other trail last time. I'm excited for the tigers and the bats.:cool1: That's this one, right?

*gasps* Nobody's been on the Maharajah Jungle Trek??? What kind of WDW fans are you? :snooty:

:lmao: JUST KIDDING!!!! :lmao:

I don't have a particular memory, but I know you'll love it, Tink. My favorite part is the Bengal tigers. They're so pretty, and you're so close to them! I love watching them play with their "toys." And the theming of that whole area is just really, really neat! :thumbsup2

The bats totally creep me out so I usually take the bypass. :scared: I watched Jumanji too many times as a kid and have of a fear of one getting stuck in my hair.

I have done it, but don't have any specific memories I can think of.

Ditto. We've done it before but nothing unusually memorable pops into my mind. I do enjoy it though, especially the tigers if you get to see them!

okay, look at this picture:

as we were coming out of the area where you view the bats, just after seeing this, a tweenish girl was behind us and said really loudly to her dad, "dad, that bat was sunning his b*lls." :rotfl2:

We've never done the Maharaja Jungle Trek, sorry!

I've never done the Maharaja Jungle Trek either....:confused3

Okay...I'm glad I'm not the only one who hasn't done this!

That's alright! :)

So, how long is the trail and stuff? Wow...I feel so bad I don't know anything about it!

Oh man, Jumanji! Good movie!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA...that is a great one Dawn!

What did I miss? The Tower of Terror? I haven't been on since, OMG...1999 w/ my MIL!? :scared1: Maybe once since then. I am due another ride. Maybe this time. We'll see.

The trails....nothing special on those. I love to watch the Gorillas though. They are so cool!

Ha ha! Does anyone else feel ashamed now? I did....

I've never done the Maharaja Jungle Trek either. I think I'll pass though, b/c I'm definitely NOT a fan of bats. :scared:

The trail usually takes us about 20-25 minutes, but we tend to stop a lot to "ooh" and "aah" at everything. Haha. If you've ever done the other trail in Africa, you'll love this one too. :goodvibes

Ha ha! Does anyone else feel ashamed now? I did....

Bwahahaha! :lmao: Sorry, Courtney, I just HAD to say that, it was too good an opportunity. But no need to feel ashamed, I don't think any less of you.

No worries. There's a designated path you can take to completely skip the bat section, which is what I do. Disney truly thinks of everything. :thumbsup2

:rotfl: That's ok, Emily! If you hadn't said it, I probably would have! :rotfl:
If I must be berated ;) , I prefer it by my DisFriends!!

I LOVE the jungle trek. It is one of my favourite parts of AK. The cast members that work on the trail are awesome. All of you who have never been have GOT to try it!:thumbsup2 Plus it's nice and shady.

Here are a few. We love to just walk leisurely through here and watch the beautiful tigers.

They don't seem to pay nearly as much attention to us as we do to them, however.
