Ok Dinosaur-never ridden it. None of us have. We're losers.

Buzz Lightyear-I dont really have any good memories? For the longest time we never rode it, I thought it like, really SPUN, and I can't do spinning like the teacups so we avoided it. The first time we rode it was in May 2007, on DH's first trip when we went with my parents and we LOVED it. The little tunnel thing at the end in space makes me sick though, and I have to close my eyes the whole time and DH finds it hilarious to try to make me look and I hate it!

What a fun idea, this attraction of the day!

Attraction of the Day...

Dinosaur

This is one of my favorites at AK! When we're on it, I can never stop laughing because I'm little and I get jerked around so much! But...here's my story: We're on the ride...and we're almost to the end and the asteroid's about to hit and we're trying to make it out of there and you stop before that drop at the end, the big dinosaur head pops out at you, and the guy on the thing is going "They're not going to make it! They're not going to make it!" Well...right after he says that, I knew we were going to drop and the dinosaur head was going to pop out, so I was bracing myself...and the ride stopped. No sounds, no lights...pitch black. A guy in the row behind us goes "Well, I guess we didn't make it."

OMG, that is SO funny. I would have CRACKED UP!

The last time we rode Dinosaur, my mom got a keychain that was hanging off her bag caught on the "cargo" nets where you put your stuff. A CM had to come over to help her get it loose because she also couldn't get the keychain off her bag so her entire bag was caught in the cargo net. It was pretty funny just because Mom was freaking out that the bag was going to be stuck on the ride forever. I was laughing so hard I could barely stand.

I don't really have a memory on Buz...but I do have a memory ABOUT Buzz. Everyone who knows me knows I love the people mover (TTA). Well, considering I've been on there 1,000's of times...I know the whole speil forwards and backwards. Well, we always say it with them...and one of the ones that always sticks out in my mind when we're home is Buzz's speil! "Citizens of Tomorrowland! Join Buzz Lightyear as he saves the universe from the evil Emperor Zurg...."

I love that part of the TTA!

The only thing I can think of about Buzz was this one time when the ride broke down while we were in the dark room before the tunnel with Zurg (My brothers call this the asteroid room...). I took advantage of the break in gameplay to spin our car round and round. I was riding with my youngest brother, and we were so dizzy by the time the ride came back on, we thought we'd be sick.

Hmmm... Buzz? Honestly I'm not a fan of Buzz. We've skipped it every trip since they built TSM since I think TSM beats Buzz by far.

Although I have to say, if you asked my DM she would probably say her favourite thing about Buzz is that she beats me every time!!

I don't have any memorie of Buzz b/c I've never ridden it..BUT I remember riding If you Had Wings..the Eastern sponsored ride that was housed in the same building....I didn't know what to expect, but remember the end where you're plane is on the runway and you take off!!! REALLY cool.

Oh I wish I had gotten to ride that!

That's so funny about Dinosaur...just perfect! I've ridden that ride about 100 times and it still scares me. But it's tradition I just have to go on every time.

Thanks, I can't believe I thought of it. I was trying to go to sleep one night and just couldn't so I started thinking about what I can do on here to make people interested until June! Haha.

Going back to Dinosaur...

This ride made me feel like a BAD MOMMA! I knew it was a little scary, but I didn't know HOW scary. DS, then 6, was quite a trooper and managed fine and seemed okay through the whole thing. Even afterwards...but then I saw his FACE in the photo... Isn't that horrible? I really want to ride this again, with or without DS so that I can enjoy the ride, because I was paying more attention to DS than the ride when we rode it.

As for Buzz...

I just KNEW that DS would LOVE this ride. And he did! It was the first ride we rode during am EMH. All three of us fit in the car, so we got off and ran right back around so that we could all take turns shooting and driving. We did it 3X in a row that morning. Such excitement! Later in the trip, DS got a really high score (I had researched where the high score targets were, and when I was driving I tried to help them hit them) and we bought DS one of the lanyard type laminated cards with his rank for a souvenir.

Aw..poor guy. But it wasn't your fault, you didn't know it was going to be that scary for him. That's so cool you got to ride it 3 times in arow AND he got a laminated card!

Unfortunately it closed in the mid 1980's when Eastern pulled out as being the official airline---Delta had a ride in the same building but it just wasn't the same. Still, I can't wait to ride Buzz

Dinosaur ~ Best memory...when we won "Family of the Hour" during the YOAMD. The kids were so excited. We got our own car + they won little dinosaur toys.

Buzz ~ Last trip right before we left our ride stopped right by the super target. The boys were ahead of me and both got 999,999 points and maxed it out. I'm sitting there for several minutes and never could find the target. They thought this was the funniest thing ever. Finally after about 5 minutes we started to move again.

Spaceship Earth

I would have to say my favorite memory of SE has to be from our '08 trip. It was our first time riding it since it had re-opened with the new changes and we were excited. I rode with sis...and that video at the end that they do of your future? I don't think she and I have ever laughed so hard! We were crying by the time we got off we were laughing that hard!

of course the pictures they take on spaceship earth are always funny! the one me and erica had in september last year was so great, especially hers! i don't remember riding it when i was younger (although i'm sure we did), so that's the only memory i have of it.

My bigest memory of SE was on my first trip with my Dad. We had been in Epcot and it was so, so hot and my Dad and sister had gone to watch Honey I Shrunk the Audience and his girlfriend, her daughter and I had some pizza from somewhere and sat outside watching the fountains and then went over to SE. Nothing particular happened but I just have such a strong memory of being on it and everything that happened before and after.

Oh that's so cool you got Family of the Hour! I never knew there was such a thing! It was something they did suring the YOAMD. I wish they would have given us a free picture in our time machine or something though. THAT would have been cool!

No way I could ever beat them now. We were stopped right in front of the super target. They showed me where to shoot and I still couldn't get it. I'll never beat 'em now. I will get them a TSM though. One day!

She gets it for autism, not because of special loading or whatever. Plus there wasn't a line so I was like, WTH? Anyway we go where they sent us and this hateful little CM said, "We're closed and you can not ride!" We explained to her what happened and she turned into a total ! As you all know guest services is right there and you know where I went....We told them what happened and they sent someone over immediately. I'm not sure what happened but the girl came walking out and went "backstage" then shortly after we were given a huge apology and free tickets to come back the next day. We were so excited...we never expected that and we didn't have park tickets that time. We had a set of comp tix to get into Epcot that day (other issues from before) and on the way out we were given more comp tix! Made for an excellent January trip! Two PPP parties plus two days in the parks! Works for me.

If I get a total jerk I always let GS know. And if I get someone over the top...they find out about that too. These people get recognized too if they get a bunch of good compliments. I usually turn in the servers for going out of their way...but we've also written out good cards for resort CM's as well.
