I like them. I think they will look nice in Pink & Brown. If it's cheaper to buy them than DIY... then definitely buy them and save yourself some time. That'll be one less thing to worry about. :thumbsup2

I think they are really cute and it is a added bonus if they save you time and money.

I don't think they look cheap at all - and spending the least amount of money you can on these is good because it's not really a detail of the wedding people will remember after a day or so =)

Thanks for your advice girls, I went ahead and bought the placecards :)

Here they are!

Let me know what you think and stay tuned, later this week I am posting some new ideas that me and D have decided we want to try out for the wedding!!!:yay:

I vote for number 3! Wicked cute! :thumbsup2

Well....I chose option #1....the most expensive of course... :( lol. Me and D did major shopping last night and later I will be posting our new ideas/inspiration pics from the knot~

Here are my inspiration pics that I took from The Knot....Since it will be outdoors we wnated to do the fan/program. The sign gives it a more woodsy country feel. We are going to have to hvae people park in a parking lot and have a tram take them to the ceremony site so we may use that as the designation on where people should park. The pink carnations with the coffee beans will be hanging from shepherds hook that have a galvanized metal bucket base and will be in the aisle of the ceremony....:lovestruc Im so happy im finally getting stuff done!

I love the program/fans. We're also having our wedding outdoors and I was going to make something like thise for our guests, but decided to just buy wooden fans and attach the program to it.

I also like the carnations and coffee beans! I may have to copy that idea for our ceremony as we're also getting married outside in a garden. We're using coffee beans in our center pieces at the reception, but I didn't think to use the idea at the ceremony!

I hope you post pictures once you've got all your DIY projects finished!

What day is your wedding? I will definitely post pictures. Where are you getting your coffee beans? Any ideas on costs? We were just trying to figure out how we can find them cheap....

I liked the placecards. Great purchase!

I like garter # 3. Definitely let us know which one you end of picking!

I like the fan idea. I am thinking of doing one myself...

So I did some shopping this weekend although it really doesn't have much to do with the wedding. I guess I needed a break from wedding planning. :rotfl: The first thing I bought was a new comforter set/curtains for the master bedroom. Now you all know we are staying @ AKL for our honeymoon. So what else would I buy other than JCPenney's Disney Resort Collection AKL!!! I put the curtains up but am waiting until after we are married to to do the comforter set.

We're getting married Sept. 12th! :lovestruc

I haven't priced the coffee beans yet, but we're going to look at costco/sam's club & walmart. One thing to think about with the coffee beans and fresh flowers is what will happen to the water. I haven't done a test run yet, but I'm worried the coffee beans will make the water brown and I'll end up with some mushy, yucky water & coffee beans with flowers sticking out....

I found 12 oz bags of kroger coffee beans for 2.85 on sale this week. I had an idea at work today which may fix our water problem im not sure. What if we put that florist foam that has been soaked in water in there and stick the flowers in there. I dont think it would get too many of the beans wet *you would put it in after it was done dripping* and with that foam in there we wouldnt need as many coffee beans, therefore saving money. What do you think?

Hmmm I'm going to have to look at Krogers and start stocking up on Coffee Beans!

Great idea about the florists foam. Good thinking about it take up more space therefore needing less coffee beans. Another idea, to go along with the florists foam, is to put the foam in ZipLock baggies, and cover the foam and baggies with coffee beans. Extra protection from soggie beans!
