My husband and I recently stayed for 5 nights at the Boardwalk Inn Garden Suites. If you are not familiar with the Garden Suites when you walk in the door there is a living room, bathroom and bar area with a sink/fridge/microwave down stairs. Then there is a set of stairs that leads to the bedroom and another bath.
On our third night at about 12:30 am or phone rang. We were sound asleep and it took me a while to figure out what was going on. When I finally answered the phone there was no one there. So we went back to sleep. Then at 1 am the phone rings again. This time when I answer it there is only a dial tone. About one minute after that we hear a beeping noise so my husband checks his cell phone but that was not the noise. Then he realizes the noise is coming from down stairs. He goes down stairs to find the microwave beeping like crazy and the key pad has a bunch of 4’s going across the screen. He had to unplug the microwave to get it to stop. I think our room was haunted. Needless to say we did not sleep very well for the rest of the night. I kept thinking please don’t let the tv down stairs turn on or I would have went to the front desk to get a new room!
We did let the front desk know that it looked like the microwave needed to be replaced and they did that right away.

could very well be haunted. there are hotels all over the world that have a room or entire hotel that is haunted. if that was me i would of asked to move rooms in the morning.

Or bad wiring............

I would ask to be moved as one never knows what wrong in that room......:confused3

I have read here at the DIS that drawers at POFQ can open up all by themselves. Maybe it is the way the floors are sloped or something but this actually happened to my mom last July. We had connecting rooms and she thought my son was sneeking into her room opening up her drawer....until it happened all by itself and she was sitting on the bed! She thought she had a ghost too!

My guess is that the power must have shut off for a moment. Sometimes when the power goes off for more than one minute, some electronic things must be reset. Did you have a thunderstorm that night?

I love the idea that it might be haunted, though. I would try to communicate with the spirit. LOL!

:stir: Oh no, the bed bugs, the snake, the viruses (swine flu) and now ghosts. I just don't think I am going to be able to travel to Disney this year... :lmao: It takes much more than that! That is really creepy stuff. Not as creepy as this Yo Gabba Gabba show my daughter watches-- but close.

When we were in Disneyland March 2008 we spoke to a very nice CM named Robin on Main Street and she told us of a ghost Dolly who lives in the Matterhorn. She was a young mother who they think for some reason stood up on the ride and hit her head and died. She will turn on the lights after the CMs turn them off. Robin said they say "Dolly turn them back on." They go on.

Did you read the Chefs de France salmon bugs thread. :scared: Add that to your list.

Very interesting to me! The paranormal is something that intrigues me, and I am very perceptive to. I wouldn't have asked to change rooms, I would've wanted to stay longer!! ;) I believe that there HAS to be some spirit activity on all of WDW property!

If I can choose a place to spend my after-life, you better believe it will be a suite at Walt Disney World :hmghost: .

Wow. I think someone's been spending too much time in the haunted mansion. Just because you don't know what caused those things to happen doesn't mean it's caused by some paranomal event.

I am intrigued.

On a different note, I have told my kids that I want to be cremated and then my ashes spread on the lawn in front of the Haunted Mansion.
999 happy haunts, but there is always room for one more.....

Interesting, I'd be less surprised to find the older resorts such as the Polynesian or Contemporary were haunted.
