Sad to say Mischief died in her sleep last night. she started to go down last night and we were going to get her to the vets today but it was too late bless her.

I am so sorry to hear your news - at least you tried to help her and she was obviously loved greatly . My friend has 105 rescued guinea pigs.....she is the only one who has tried to help them, many are just unwanted gifts for children and are often dumped at the side of the road. After having lots of guinea pigs i help myself get over the death of them by thinking that we loved them, fed them well and they were kept clean.

There is one pig in particular who came to us when he was only days old (the pet shop thought he was a hamster because he was so small!!) I took him into work every day for a month so that we could all take a turn in hand feeding him- he lived in DD's bedroom and the living room for 3 years and he thought was a dog When he died i was so heart broken i had to take time off work.

Unfortunately we get so attached to our animals even cried over DD gold fish in the past When we lost our 17year old cat i was ill and ended up at the doctors. Hopefully she will know how much we loved her. DD has been to buy a hamster cage this afternoon so guess what we are having tomorrow. We will never learn LOL
