Our GAD event is supposed to be this Sat but...

I just emailed the coordinator to verify everything for this coming Saturday and her email address came back undeliverable. UGH. We are supposed to help at the Wilmington Delaware MS walk this weekend. I went to the MS website and got the email address of their volunteering coordinator for Wilmington. I emailed her in hopes that she can help me get in touch with the right person. Now I'm nervous our GAD isn't going to work out

My adult kids are signed up for the same event but in Hagerstown, MD this Saturday. I got the original email from the coordinator with instructions to be there at 8:00AM. I sure hope it all works out for them. Keep me posted how your event goes and I will also.

Luckily I got an email back today! The original person that contacted me was a fill in for the real coordinator who was on maternity leave! She has us all set and assures me she can verify our volunteerism with Disney/Hands On when we are done!

OP, did you get your reminder email yesterday. We got ours reminding us about being signed up and how the voucher will be processed after the activity.

Us too...we are doing the MS walk here in West Chester Oh (20 miles north of Cincinnati)

Working the sign up table 8am to 10:30am...

nice to see others doing the same...my son has MS so its for a good cause.
I plan to volunteer every year.

My adult kids did it today (3 of them and our 16 yo grandson). All went well, but they were surprised to be done so quickly. They even went back and asked if there was anything else that needed to be done. They too worked the registration desk. Some of the girls were "hitting" on my grandson.

They got their thank you email today saying to watch for the email for their vouchers after they have been verified. I'm still hoping it continues to work out after reading so many sad stories.

We did ours too and only had to do 8:00-10:00am.
It was a breeze.

Also got our thank you from Hands On...
next the vouchers hopefully before we have to go in late May.

The lady from MS told me there were around 450 people from the Cincinnati area volunteering to get Disney tickets...
guess there are a lot of people in my area that love Disney too!!!

At the MS walk yesterday in Wilmington they showed me the sign in sheet for "Give a Day" volunteers! There were TONS of names on there!

Our kids got to hand out T Shirts and my husband and I organized the teams to get their team photos taken! We had a great time and told them we'd be happy to help again in the future!

Make sure you post when you get your confirmation email with your voucher, so we all stay in the loop.

My DH and SIL did Habitat back in January and all went smoothly. The others didn't want to do the restore, so I found the MS event and the others participated in this. They did feel a little guilty that is was only for a short time.

No word yet. I've checked and nothing new. My DH did his GAD in January and it took at least 5 business days before we got anything. We leave for WDW on Saturday, so was watching to see if they arrive before then. We don't need them for this trip. They are for our Oct/Nov trip. Remember to post back when you hear something.

Yea! I just checked my email this morning and I got my email telling me the vouchers are ready to be printed! Anyone else get theirs today?

Yup! I just printed ours!!!!! wooo hooooo!

I'm taking them next month, but if crowds are light I'm saving them for Thanksgiving week when it's gonna be really crowded! Those fastpasses will come in handy!
