Okay so it was the last morning of the cruise and hubby and I agreed to set the alarm for 5am to make sure we got up and got ready in enough time to make our 7:15am breakfast time at Animators Palate. It was so hard getting up when that alarm went off, not really because of the hour (though that was a horrible time to be getting up) but mostly because we new it would be the last time. If I hadn't mentioned before the beds on the ship are uber comfy and I was sleeping great so I was really sad to be leaving.
So after we sleep walk ourselves through showers and getting ready we do our once over of the room to make sure we have everything and then bid farewell to it. Upon walking outside we ran into our stateroom host whom I was equally sad to be leaving. I gave him his tip envelope and thanked him a billion times over for being the best and taking such great care of us. Then we made our way down the long hallway to the elevators and over to Animators.
The air onboard the ship was bittersweet, you could tell everyone was happy to have just done the cruise but at the same time everyone seemed so sad. I was one of the sad ones.
Only three out of the six couples who made up our tablemates showed up to breakfast, the one couple like I said probably ran off the ship because she didn't want to be there and the other two I don't know what happened to them because they had said they would see us in the morning.
Now this would be the first time during the cruise that I was very disapointed in the food and the service for that matter. Everyone was so rushed and hovering over us to take our order. I know it's because they have to take care of everyone and also get ready for the next cruise but sheesh give us a minute would ya. When we figured out what we wanted and ordered, which was pretty simple food our server came back to tell hubby and I they didn't have things we wanted anymore. That was a real bummer. Needless to say what we did end up eating was bad. I had scrambled eggs that just tasted nasty and hubby and I both had pancakes that were hard and overcooked. The bacon was undercooked and even the coffee tasted like yesterday's news. It was really disapointing but we both just chalked it up to being so early in the morning and the crew being under pressure to feed everybody at different times and also get ready for the next cruise. We ended up not eating very much of the food and more or less just talking to the other tablemates about what everybody had planned after the cruise, and everyone was heading back to Orlando to enjoy Walt Disney World. We said our goodbyes and headed towards the exit, it was at this point I wanted to cry.
I snapped this pic of the christmas tree and decorations that had been put up at some point on the cruise.

Then I took this just before we stepped off the ship for the last time.

Bye Bye Disney Wonder, we had a fantastic time....

So we get down to the luggage area and retrieve our bags with no problems at all and then get through security and customs and before we know it, we are back in the real world. The porters kept asking us if we needed help getting to our car but we could manage just fine and off we went.
Now this next "incident" that happened may very well make me look like the biggest B$%@H in the world but I don't really care, I'm gonna tell you what happened anyway.
As hubby and I are approaching the rental car I notice there is a lady leaning on the side of it. Now first let me say I don't lean on strangers cars no matter what, I just don't do it, it's disrepectful and there is always a 50/50 chance some kind of freak accident could happen and the person leaning on the car could cause some kind of damage, unintentionaly of course but could still happen none the less. So with that said as we approach the car I notice the lady see's us coming and when we stop at the car she can clearly tell it's ours. She makes no move to get off so I tell her "Could you please not lean on the car". She say's "Oh, sorry I have a bad knee" and then removes herself from the drivers side door area. That I figured was the end of it, but I was very wrong. So hubby and I are putting the luggage in the trunk and I'm thinking to myself if she has a bad knee why the heck isn't she sitting in her families car or leaning on there car for that matter. Then out of the blue another family member say's to my husband "Isn't that a rental car anyway?" Hubby responds by saying "Yes it is but I still have to take care of it and pay for it so having somebody use it as a cushion is kinda bothersome." Needless to say this lady would not let it go and started telling us how rude we are and how mean we are. While all this was going on between her and hubby I was still organizing the trunk of the car and really biting my lip not to get involved because it would have been very undisney like with what I had to say and since they had kids in the van I didn't want to go at with them. Finally they all piled into the van and left and we did also right after them. She proceeded to flip us off just before we lost sight of them on the road. Lovely huh? All because I asked her to get off the car.
And with that interaction behind us we headed off towards Orlando. The ride back was uneventful and pretty boring. Since hubby and I had already been up since 5am and pretty sleepy we just kinda drove in silence, each of us in our own little world.
We got back to the Orlando area a little after 10am and started to look for our next hotel to check in. It was the Best Western Lakeside. We found it pretty easy and proceded to wait about 10min at the checkin counter before anybody even noticed us. Already I was wondering about this place.
I finally said something to one of the gentlemen behind the counter that wasn't doing anything in particular if he could help us and rather reluctantly he did. He was so rude and barely said two words to us the whole time and never once did he make eye contact with either of us. At this point I was only hoping the day would get better.
So we get our room key and head off to unload our stuff, we soon realized that this guy had given us a room all the way at the back of the hotel, like the very last building. O'well whatever.
All I can say about this place was it's a good thing that DH and I are not picky people about hotels and resorts and stuff because this place was BLAH, JUST PLAIN BLAH. I figured that since it was only serving the purpose of sleeping and bathing who the heck cares anyway, I have better things to spend my money on then a five star resort even on my honeymoon. But of course that's just my opionion on the matter. Hubby doen't care either way, he can sleep anywhere, I think it's just a guy thing.
Anyway we unload all our stuff and settle in for the next four days and then we sit down and try to decide what to do for the rest of the day. I had finally been feeling better then ever since the honeymoon started and really wanted to make the most of our last few days so I suggested going back to the Magic Kingdom. Hubby was onboard even though we both really should have taken a nap instead. That would never have worked though because we were to excited to be back in the world.
So on that note off we went towards the Magic Kingdom.
Coming up next.......Zombies are walking around the Magic Kingdom.
