I have never written a trip report before so bear with me. I just wanted to share what a wonderful time we had! Everything worked out well and like I said, we had a great time.
Day #1 was Wednesday Nov 2nd. Our flight from North Carolina was on time and the rental car transition went smoothly. We arrived at the Disneyland Hotel earlier than I expected. A room was ready and we went to check it out. I was a little disappointed in the size of the room, it seemed so standard. I had heard the rooms were larger here. But it really wasn't a problem. It was clean and the staff was super nice to us and I had no issues. My husband needed to get to work and wanted a quick lunch before heading out. I was unsure of where to go in the hotel and we ended up at the bar next to Goofy's Kitchen!! I felt so weird having our first meal at a bar! My 7 year old wanted to actually sit at the bar( no other customers were there), but he wasn't allowed to. All of us ordered cheeseburgers and they were so good!! I don't know if they were so yummy because I hadn't eated in forever or if they were just really good. So after lunch, the kids and I headed off to Disneyland!
I was so excited to see the park wasn't crowded. I usually don't arrive at a park mid day, so I was expecting it to be crowded. We did Space Mountain, Star tours, Autopia and Buzz. We did Matterhorn too before heading over to ride Splash and Pooh. We did BTMRR and Haunted Mansion, Pirates and Indy! We went back and did Space again and Buzz I think too. We did so much that afternoon! But the time difference caught up with the 7 year old, so we headed back to the room. He was asleep before 8pm local time(11pm out time). What a GREAT first day!
