I wanted to give a review of the services we received when we used Yourride for our recent Disney trip. I posted questions here prior to our trip requesting opinions on car services. After checking into several companies, we decided to go with Yourride. (They answered the phone with a "live" person and were able to answer my questions. The other company I was considering had an automated answering machine on the phone. I did not receive a call back. I also e-mailed the other company, and didn't receive a timely response. So, I decided to go with Yourride.)
Only a few days prior to our trip, I contacted Yourride. I spoke with Thom. He was professional and very friendly. He asked when we would be arriving/departing and which hotel we would be staying at. I asked about the possibility of being picked up at the Marriott (airport location) instead of the airport, and he said it was no problem. (We had flown in a day early, and stayed the first night offsite.) We could have easily taken a shuttle back to the airport and then got our ride with Yourride to the All Stars Sports, but he was very accommodating! He saved us so much hassle and time that first morning!
We had requested a 7:00am pickup. We simply walked down to the lobby, finalized things with the front desk, and walked over to meet Thom, who was ready and waiting for us. It could not have been simpler. He was even early!
We found the ride to the All Stars to be very pleasant. Thom was friendly and knowledgeable, and we had a nice conversation. He was very polite and treated our family so nicely. The car was large and roomy (two pre-teens and Mom in the backseat, Dad in the front seat) and clean. The airconditioner was running when we got in, and was so appreciated. Who knew Florida could be so hot alreadythat early in the morning? In just a few minutes, it seemed, we arrived at the hotel. It was such a pleasure to arrive so relaxed and stress-free. We paid for our round-trip, and gave Thom a nice tip, as he was going to be our driver for the return trip as weel. I had printed a coupon from the Yourride website, and Thom was happy to accept it. We confirmed the arrangements we had made to be picked up a week later, and we were off to check into the hotel and begin our magical stay.
One week later, our very tired, but very happy family once again loaded into a Yourride town car to make the return trip to the airport. We were disappointed that Thom was not our driver for the second half of our trip. However, we did have a very nice young man as our driver. (My children had actually been looking forward to seeing Thom again and telling him about thier week.) The young man was very quiet and professional. Our return to the airport wasn't as talkative as our trip to the hotel had been a week earlier, but who is ever happy about having to leave Disney? I failed to mention the driver picked us up at the All-Stars exactly where we had been told we would be picked up, and he, too, was early and waiting for us when we walked outside. We arrived at MCO right on time, and sadly trudged inside to fly back home.
The dates we used Yourride's services were Sat. July 26, and then again on Sat. Aug. 2, 2003. I have been so busy since returning home, that I just failed to post my experiences. I'm sorry that others have had troubles, but our family was very pleased with Yourride, and would not hesitate to use them again. I hope someone will find this information useful.
