I got my Esty made dress hanger in the mail! I actually got it a while ago but couldn't get the picture off my phone until now. I'm super happy with it :lovestruc

Tomorrow is my final fitting for my wedding dress :woohoo: I'm so excited to finally take it home so I can try on my accessories with it!

I love the hanger! I think I might have to get one, they are so cute!

Good luck at the fitting that's very exciting!

What a great guest book idea! I love ones that are actually somewhat useful!! And those hangers are so neat. I love etsy.

Good luck at the fitting!

Yay! The hanger will make for awesome photo ops.
Love it!!!

Good luck at fitting!!!

Love the hanger...and you made my smile, I love the Etsy/Esty typos lol

Hah you're right I didn't notice the typo! I used to always type in the wrong one on accident in my search bar...thank goodness for Google correcting me

the hanger looks awesome! I really like them but I worry it won't hold my dress...do you think it could hold a heavy satin dress or is it more for lighter things?

Thanks Sara! It's a pretty durable metal hanger that would probably be fine to hold your heavy satin gown for the wedding day. It's not usable at all for long term storage though. I would contact the seller to make sure, I'm sure she can give you insight on the exactly quality of the metal she uses! :goodvibes

the hanger is great....i kind of want me! :thumbsup2

Thanks! You should get one, it makes for great pictures! :thumbsup2

Hi Wendy! :goodvibes
I am loving all of your plans for the wedding! All the locations sound beautiful, I just love the Grand Floridian! Your dress is absolutely stunning on you as well. I think the guestbook idea and your wedding dress hanger are so cute too! I might have to order one of those hangers, they are just too cool of an idea. Looking foward to reading more!

Hi Marissa!! Thanks for stopping by! I'm glad you like everything so far

Thanks!! The fitting went incredibly well and I now have my dress back in my home. I will update on that soon :woohoo:

Thanks Sam!! I LOVE Etsy, too. So far I've had incredibly good luck with the sellers I've worked with! :cool1:

So I have to update on this now because I've just spent almost the entire afternoon designing them through Vista Print (they were A LOT more difficult to make than we thought they'd be)! Eric and I have designed our cocktail hour cards for our guests to use which will give them access to the bar tab we're setting up for them in the GF. We've contacted the manager and he will also have a copy with our guest list to give to the bartender.

EDIT: I actually took the picture of the cards down for security creeper reasons. I guess it wouldn't make sense to have these cards for guests and then show them to the world! :) We're really happy with them though and I recommend Vista Print if you're looking to make some personalized stationary!

Hehehe, totally understand!
I am sure they look wonderful though! :thumbsup2

Maybe you can share once the wedding is done ;)

That's a great idea! I really want everyone to see them because they're so darn cute! I'll make sure to include them in my trip report ;)

Yes!
I am planning on being more specific once our VR is done, I am keeping a lot of stuff from my PJ too to avoid spoiling surprises etc for our guests, but once it is all done it all shall be revealed ;)

Over the weekend, we purchased the goodies for our Welcome Bags. Here we go:

The shout wipes are perfect! Be sure you put 1 or 2 in your purse on the wedding day. My planner Ken thankfully came to the rescue with them after I leaned up against the counter in the ladies room only to discover I rubbed against red lipstick . So anyway, good pick!!! Two thumbs up from me! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:rotfl:

I really like the welcome bags! I want to do them but can't spend a lot. It looks like you came up with some great ideas that probably weren't too expensive. The actual bags are super cute!

The dollar store is your friend! We have "Dollar Tree" locally and they have a ton of Disney things (I have a picture in my PJ). You can also get a lot of the travel sized items (sewing and first aid kids, travel tylenol, ponchos etc) Also, check out your local Michael's/AC Moores - they always have a discount bin and I found some other random Disney things.

looking forward to seeing the cocktail cards after the wedding. I can totally get why you wouldn't want to post them just yet.

The welcome bags look great and I love shout wipes!

Thanks for some great suggestions for the welcome bags!

No problem! I hope you found them helpful! :goodvibes

Oh no!!! GREAT advice!! I will definitely be having a couple handy in my emergency bag ;)

I understand about not wanting to spend a lot. We got everything from Walmart in the $1 travel section! But even that can add up when we're trying to fill 10 bags. The actual bags I thankfully got for free from my mom's store. :thumbsup2

YES definitely try the dollar store! That is the one place we actually didn't think of going until after we already bought everything from Wally World. But we only paid $1 for them too, so it worked out! Good advice!!

I will be sure to post them after, I'm so proud of them! Thanks! :woohoo:

That sucks! I've heard similar stories about DB and decided to buy my dress at another store because of the bad things I had heard. I'm so sorry this happened to you!

Well i'm glad everything went well now! Can't wait to see it the pictures of it! I do have to say I had a bad experience at DB as well. When we were first looking for a dress (like a year too early:rotfl:) I went there. The lady did not measure me either and kept being like oh your a 4 def! and I was like no not even close...and she kept insisting and telling me I was wrong. Well guess what I am not a 4 and she didn't listen. Then she kept ignoring me about what dresses I wanted to try on and telling me that the dresses I liked were too old for me. SO I know how silly DB can be. I'm glad yours is all set and now you have no problems!

I am so glad to hear everything worked out. My sister went through a nightmare with DB and alterations as well. They were rude and took her dress in too much to the point she almost couldn't wear it. I haven't looked for a dress yet, but I will deff. be taking mine to my local seamstress as well. I was recently a BM and all the other girls got there dresses done from the salon we bought them from, (I refused to because the lady screamed at me for no reason at the fitting) and I went to my regular lady and my dress was 1/2 of what everyone else's cost. I think because DB is such a big company they just don't care about every customer as much as a small local seamstress does.

I agree with you on keeping the dress a secret. I don't know why but I never liked the idea of posting my dress anywhere online. What if DF came across it some how?
