Hey! My name is ShaeLee and I am the proud, proud wife of a handsome hubby, a beautiful DD and an awesome son!!!

We were all out to dinner yesterday and DH had been talking about what he wanted to do on his vacation time during December. I had been researching Disney for weeks after learning that the Free DDP had been extended to mid-December, but DH kept blowing me off. We usually go to WDW every other year and we were there for Christmas week '08, but I really didn't think we were going this year, especially after him mentioning how he wanted to spend the week with his parents at their lake house in PA. Well.....at dinner he said how much he loves to make us all happy (I love that man:love:) and Ta-Da!!!!!!....said we were going to Disney!!!!!!! I literally bounced up and down in my seat for a few minutes. The waitress gave me the side eye. She probably thought I was crazy. But who cares??? We're going to Disney World!!!!!!

So, right after we got home, I immediately booked (before he could change his mind).

I'm so excited, I'm so excited, I'm so excited!!!!!

Here's the plan so far...

12/10 - Take the kids out of school early and head out on the (hopefully) open road. We're driving so we should be there between 1:00 - 3:00 PM on our check-in day

12/11 - Check-in to Port Orleans Riverside Resort. I'm thinking about requesting Magnolia Bend. Do they also have trundles or is it only Alligator Bayou? Does anyone know? DD & DS are at the age where sharing a bed is pretty ewww and DH hates sleeping without me ( yes I know, nauseating, LOL).

After checking in, I figure we'll relax for a bit, unpack, swim in the pool and then head to DD for Earl of Sandwich :yay:. Love that place.

12/12 - A trip to Magic Kingdom is a must! This is the way I get (I mean, my family gets) our happy on!! Just standing at the gates always fills me with the most joyful feeling. Aaah, good 'ole Disney pumping happy juice into the air!! :wizard: I can't wait to see the Christmas decorations. Being there for Christmas '08 was the best thing ever. Multiply Disney happy by kid on Christmas morning happy and you'll get what I mean.

After spending the day at MK, we have an ADR for 1900 PF at 7:50 that night, but I'm trying to see if we can get an earlier time. I want to head over to HS after dinner to see the lights and ride the rides since it's a PM xtra hours night and want to try and get there by 9:00 PM the latest.

12/13 - Today, we'll start off with Animal Kindgom. We'll be there for the whole day and then we have an ADR at Yak & Yeti at 4:45. We've never been there before so any comments or suggestions, positive or negative, are welcome. We want to head back to MK after dinner and relax with a parade and some fireworks before heading for some nighttime fun! Oh Yeah! Anyone been on the new Space Mountain yet? I'd love to hear about that.

12/14 - Epcot Day! Hopefully by this point, we haven't pooped ourselves out and we can get to Future World by the time it opens for resort guests at 8:00 AM. Soarin' is our favorite and I want to get on the minute we get in. We have an ADR for Spirit of Aloha at 8 so we might leave early and head back to POR for a quickie nap. DH paid for the Category 1 seating b/c it was one of his favorite shows when he was younger so hopefully, they'll pull him up for a hula!

12/15 - HS during the day today. I made an ADR for the Fantasmic (late lunch) package. We're eating at the Brown Derby at 2:55. I'm looking forward to the Brown Derby Cobb Salad and the Grapefruit cake. Maybe some Toy Story Mania after lunch (early dinner) and then on to see Fantasmic at 6:30!!! I love this show. It brought me to tears back in 2006 when I first saw it. Aaaah, love the Disney :wizard:. I guess we'll be calling it an early night after the show. It's killing me that everything closes so early the week we'll be there!!! I'm hoping that since it's a slow week, it won't be crowded and we'll get to ride every ride and see everything!

Ha! Just realized that the WS in Epcot is open until 12:30 AM that night, so I guess we have some hanging out to do!!!

12/16 - Back to MK, can you tell how much we love this place? We have an ADR at Liberty Tree Tavern at 4:10 and then I'm not sure if we'll stay in MK or head to another park. Again, everything closes early so my options are limited:headache:.

12/17 - I'm thinking either a rest day for the first half and then ADR at Teppen Edo for 7:50 PM. I really want to try the beignets at FQ, so we might take a trip over in the morning. I'm HOPING :worship: that someone cancels their ressie at Le Cellier for the same day b/c I will snatch that sucker up. DH has been dying to eat there (seriously, he gets more weak with every mention ) and it's his dream ADR. We're hoping to see the Candlelight Processional that night. When we went in '08, it was very moving. I cried. Yes, happy tears. Being at Disney and listening to the story of Christ was so, so...AWESOME! It was an amazing experience.

12/18 - Last day :sad1:. Haven't thought about it much, but I'm hoping to go to HS again and maybe MK for one last visit before heading back to NY.

Well, there it is. Please feel free to tell me what you think about my PTR so far. Oh, besides the ADR's I've already made for dinner, I have 3 more TS credits, so feel free to suggest where I should fit them in. We're hoping to do a character breakfast (we've been to them all, except Norway Princess breakfast) so I want to hear your favorites.

Thanks for reading!!!

We will be there at the same time as you staying at the same resort. We will be at MK Sunday too. :cool1: I hope you post a picture so I can look for you. I love DISmeets.

Hey! I shall be arriving there your last few days, stay at POFQ, we are planning on doing HS on the 15th as well, might see you there ;) From the reading I have done I believe the trundles are only in Alligator Bayou unfortunately. I have only had a TS meal at Mama Melorose's so far so I have no recommendations, however I am very much looking forward to my ressie at O'Hana's to try the Tonga Toast! Anyways sounds like a good plan :)

Okay, now for some pics...

DD & DS during our Christmas trip of '08. This was right after we checked in. We were headed to AK:

Moi, right after a nap. Still the first day of our '08 trip. Now we're headed to MK since it was open until 2AM. Best WDW night ever!!!

DH - I'll disguise him a lot here. Occupational hazard. I realize that if you really wanted to find his picture you could, but oh well.

Okay, that's my family. In the words of my favorite character..."It may be small, but it's good."

Congrats on your upcoming trip! I can't believe you have so much planned already!!

Congrats on your upcoming trip! I can't believe you have so much planned already!!

Thanks! I have a lot done b/c when I book, I get soooo excited, I can't help myself! LOL. Plus the fact that our 180 day marker passed for ADR's so I knew I had to get rollin' with those. My DDP TS ADR's pretty much guide where I'll be along with the EMH.

Ok, time to switch some stuff around. I FINALLY got an ADR for Le Cellier, but it's the same day as my Spirit of Aloha dinner so I'm going to see if I can switch some ADR's and park-plans around.

Ugh. This is really a full-time job!:lmao:

Ok, I was able to change some stuff around to fit our new ADR's and here they are...

Sat - 12/11 - Check-in around 12, get our tickets and head to DTD for some Earl of Sandwich and some retail therapy. Since we're driving in, we'll probably need to come back around 5, rest up for a bit, shower and dress because we have our Spirit of Aloha dinner at 8:00 PM.

Sun - 12/12 - Magic Kingdom at 9:00 AM and then Crystal Palace at 11:30. I might change this to breakfast instead if I can find something around 10:00. Hang out in MK for a little longer and then head to HS around 5. I want to be there during the EMH so we have time to see the lights and ride the cool stuff at night.

Mon - 12/13 - AK during the day with an ADR at Yak & Yeti at 4:45. Afterward, I want to head back over to MK for EMH to see the parades and fireworks.

Tue - 12/14 - We'll start the morning off at Epcot FW and then we have an ADR at ....wait for it....Le Cellier!!!! We sit to eat at 11:30 so I figure we can walk the showcase after that and then see the 5:00 Candlelight Processional. Afterward, I think it might be a pool and resort night.

Wed - 12/15 - Hollywood Studios is the starting point of our day. We have a Fantasmic Dinner Package and our ADR for Brown Derby is at 2:55. I for one am excited about grapefruit cake. Mmmmmmmm. Yummm. Aaaaaah. Wait, where was I. Oh yeah, Fantasmic. That starts at 6:30. We might head back over to Epcot after that for the nighttime fireworks and EMH.

Thu - 12/16 - Magic Kingdom again with our ADR for Liberty Tree at 4:15. Last time we were there, we got to ring the dinner bell and it was one of the best things ever! They pull you off to the side and you have a private meet and greet with the characters and then you go on to the balcony and say "Hear ye, hear ye, dinner is served". We really loved it! Another early pool/rest night after this.

Fri - 12/17 - Not sure what park we'll start off with today. If there's anything we've missed, or anything we want to repeat, we'll make sure we tackle it today. After doing that, we have an ADR for 1900 Park Fare at 6:50. I bought the cuties Lady Tremaine, Drizella and Anastasia appliques on Etsy to make tees for my DD and I. I'm excited about this dinner. Going back to the room after this to pack and get ready to leave the next day. This is always my worst moment at Disney. I hate getting ready to leave.

Sat -12/18 - Up and at 'em. Today, I get to finally eat Tonga Toast at Kona for breakfast. I hope they're not soggy or I will cry.:rolleyes1 LOL After that, it's another pick-a-park day, but I will definitely end my vacation with one last trip to MK. I always have to end it the way it started, with a mouse:yay:.

Okay, let me know what you think about the new plan!!!

WOW what aplan...we are going to POR in Jan. We do not park hop. My DD has 2 boys 10 and 2 so it TOO MUCH. pLEASE dh AND i CAN'T TAKE ALL THE WALKING, THOUGH i GET AN ecv MY dh IS TOO STUBBORN, wE ALWAYS SATRT AT mk AND EBD AT mk. trYING TO PICK adrS NOW. Thanks for reading!!

Park Hopper's can be brutal. I thought about saving myself the $200, but we always make pretty good use of them. We do tend to need a vacation after Disney!!:rotfl: The kids are pretty good about the walking because they're so excited.

I tried to do new restaurants this time. Our only repeat from our last trip is Liberty Tavern. We LOVED the dinner. It was like a family-style Thanksgiving dinner. The ham was DELICIOUS!!! I would definitely recommend it.

Waaaaah!! I just called Disney Dining and they said no. Awww. That was such a great experience. I can't believe they don't have characters anymore!!!:sad1:

Bldg's 15,16,17,18 are best rooms. they are close to parking lot and food.

Get the at rope drop and head for safari. head for FOTLK:lovestruc. Don't forget to get a good place for the Christmas themed daily parade:thumbsup2

12/14 - Epcot Day! Hopefully by this point, we haven't pooped ourselves out and we can get to Future World by the time it opens for resort guests at 8:00 AM. I think I would have done MK on this day. Less travel time and time lost at the parks.

Try different combo's for dinning at Le Cellier. May want to try lunch. It's just as amazing.

12/18 - Last day :sad1:. Haven't thought about it much, but I'm hoping to go to HS again and maybe MK for one last visit before heading back to NY.

Try relaxing. You are on vacation. Figure what parks you want to visit and maybe, split up the parks into 2 parts and visit on 2 different days. We have been doing it this was for the past 3 trips. 3-4 mls walking sure beats 12+

Well, there it is. Please feel free to tell me what you think about my PTR so far. DW and I are planning a trip at about the same time:goodvibes. Have breakfast at Chef Mickey's or eat at Crystal Palace.

Just realized that Liberty Tree is no longer a character meal so I'm really going to change some stuff around and get a dinner at CM. We've done breakfast there before but I figure we could do dinner this time. I also booked a late breakfast for us at CP on the 12th.
