Our Disney Holiday to be!

Ok, I was able to change some stuff around to fit our new ADR's and here they are...

Sat - 12/11 - Check-in around 12, get our tickets and head to DTD for some Earl of Sandwich and some retail therapy. Since we're driving in, we'll probably need to come back around 5, rest up for a bit, shower and dress because we have our Spirit of Aloha dinner at 8:00 PM.

Yes relax. Your on vacation. :rolleyes1

Sun - 12/12 - Magic Kingdom at 9:00 AM and then Crystal Palace at 11:30. I might change this to breakfast instead if I can find something around 10:00. Hang out in MK for a little longer and then head to HS around 5. I want to be there during the EMH so we have time to see the lights and ride the cool stuff at night.

Spend whole day at MK til you leave park at 7pm(MVMCP night)

Mon - 12/13 - AK during the day with an ADR at Yak & Yeti at 4:45. Afterward, I want to head back over to MK for EMH to see the parades and fireworks.

Sounds like a plan. Your best bet for seating would be one of two ideas. 1. Sit by street and get close to characters(sit by island) so you can see parade going up or down main street. 2. get to MK and camp out at train station platform(great views for both parade and fireworks. easy fast exit out of MK:hippie:)

Tue - 12/14 - We'll start the morning off at Epcot FW and then we have an ADR at ....wait for it....Le Cellier!!!! We sit to eat at 11:30 so I figure we can walk the showcase after that and then see the 5:00 Candlelight Processional. Afterward, I think it might be a pool and resort night.

The kids are going to love this day. arrive at rope drop. head for Soarin' ride then get fastpass head for TT and MS.Head back for turtle talk then if time, or just head for Soaring again before lunch. If still time visit Canada for lunch.

Wed - 12/15 - Hollywood Studios is the starting point of our day. We have a Fantasmic Dinner Package and our ADR for Brown Derby is at 2:55. I for one am excited about grapefruit cake. Mmmmmmmm. Yummm. Aaaaaah. Wait, where was I. Oh yeah, Fantasmic. That starts at 6:30. We might head back over to Epcot after that for the nighttime fireworks and EMH.

Start at TSM. Get fastpass too:thumbsup2. Head for TT and RR maybe BnB. head over to attractions around the Brown Derby area til lunch. Then visit other half of park since you have time til 5 pm for Fantasmic.(making the most of a trip right?)

Thu - 12/16 - Magic Kingdom again with our ADR for Liberty Tree at 4:15. Last time we were there, we got to ring the dinner bell and it was one of the best things ever! They pull you off to the side and you have a private meet and greet with the characters and then you go on to the balcony and say "Hear ye, hear ye, dinner is served". We really loved it! Another early pool/rest night after this.

Great food. No more Characters:headache:. You could do CP at 5:45 and get a seat so you can watch the lighting of the castle.

Fri - 12/17 - Not sure what park we'll start off with today. If there's anything we've missed, or anything we want to repeat, we'll make sure we tackle it today. After doing that, we have an ADR for 1900 Park Fare at 6:50. I bought the cuties Lady Tremaine, Drizella and Anastasia appliques on Etsy to make tees for my DD and I. I'm excited about this dinner. Going back to the room after this to pack and get ready to leave the next day. This is always my worst moment at Disney. I hate getting ready to leave.

:sad1:

Sat -12/18 - Up and at 'em. Today, I get to finally eat Tonga Toast at Kona for breakfast. I hope they're not soggy or I will cry.:rolleyes1 LOL After that, it's another pick-a-park day, but I will definitely end my vacation with one last trip to MK. I always have to end it the way it started, with a mouse:yay:.

Make this the DHS day part 2. Kids love TT and RR? The park isn't too far away.

Okay, let me know what you think about the new plan!!!

How does that sound for ya? You have a great trip so far!!:hippie:

I am REALLY trying to decide if spending an extra $200 ++ on MVMCP tickets are worth it. We have an ADR at LTT at 4:15 on 12/16 and then after that, we really don't have anything to do. I'm pretty sure I can work this into the budget. AAMOF, DH thought that we should do it and I'm the one that complained about the price.

When we were in Disney for Christmas of '08, we were there when they were doing the Christmas Wishes fireworks and the Christmas parade. This year, we'll be there a week before that starts. We loved the parade the last time we saw it and I'm thinking, maybe, just maybe, it might be worth spending the $ to see them during the party.

I won't get worked up over cookies and hot cocoa b/c I've heard too many things about them not being great, running out soon, dry, bland, etc. I think my main selling point is seeing the parades.

With the ADR at 4:15, and the MVMCP starting at 7, what would you guys do?

Soooo...today the CP packages opened up and I was ready to dial Disney Dining! I called at 6:55 just to see and they said the office was closed so I had the WDW-DINE number up and ready to dial. I hit the button at exactly 7:00 AM and.....got a busy signal. And kept getting a busy signal for the next 49 MINUTES!!!!! Finally I got the magic wand sound and was then placed on hold for another 42 minutes. At least at this point, I had gotten through as I know there were many others who were still dialing.

Well folks, my DH will be getting his dream dinner!!! We reserved Le Cellier for 12/14/2010 @ 5:25 P.M. with seating for the 8:15 Candlelight Processional show.

I can't wait to see Steven Curtis Chapman again. Last time he was so wonderful and it was the year that his daughter died so that brought me to tears itself. His message in the beginning of the show was to really listen to the words that he was saying and hear it for the first time, even if you'd heard it before. It was wonderful!! I'm so excited to be seeing this show again!!!!

Ugh! Now that that wonderful stress is over, I can go walk my dogs before they empty in the house. Have a magical day everyone!!!:lovestruc

12/10 - Take the kids out of school early and head out on the (hopefully) open road. We're driving so we should be there between 1:00 - 3:00 PM on our check-in day

12/11 - Check-in to Port Orleans Riverside Resort. DD & DS are at the age where sharing a bed is pretty ewww and DH hates sleeping without me ( yes I know, nauseating, LOL) so I hope we get a room in Alligator Bayou in buildings 15, 14, 34 or 26.

I switched our Spirit of Aloha dinner for this night. DH paid for the Category 1 seating b/c it was one of his favorite shows when he was younger so hopefully, they'll pull him up for a hula! I hope we're not too tired, so I'm assuming we'll putz around the pool and nap for a bit before we have to get ready. Our ADR is at 8:00 PM. Hopefully, we can see the fireworks from the Poly beach afterward. Then maybe the electrical water pageant!!

12/12 - A trip to Magic Kingdom is a must! This is the way I get (I mean, my family gets) our happy on!! Just standing at the gates always fills me with the most joyful feeling. Aaah, good 'ole Disney pumping happy juice into the air!! I can't wait to see the Christmas decorations. Being there for Christmas '08 was the best thing ever. Multiply Disney happy by kid on Christmas morning happy and you'll get what I mean.

We have a late breakfast at Crystal Palace at 10:20 AM this morning. I bought the cutest Piglet, Tigger and Pooh tee for my DD especially for this day!!

I figure we'll leave the park by 6 and head over to HS to see the lights and ride the rides since it's a PM xtra hours night and want to try and get there by 7:30 PM the latest.

12/13 - Today, we'll start off with Animal Kindgom. We'll be there for the whole day and then we have an ADR at Yak & Yeti at 4:45. We've never been there before so any comments or suggestions, positive or negative, are welcome. We'll leave AK by 6 and head back to MK after dinner and relax with a parade and some fireworks before heading for some nighttime fun! Oh Yeah! Anyone been on the new Space Mountain yet? I'd love to hear about that.

12/14 - Epcot Day! Hopefully by this point, we haven't pooped ourselves out and we can get to Future World by the time it opens for resort guests at 8:00 AM. Soarin' is our favorite and I want to get on the minute we get in. I called today and got our dream Candlelight Processional package!! We'll be sitting down at Le Cellier for dinner at 5:25 PM and have reserved seating for the 8:15 show!! I'm so excited. Last time I went, they didn't have reserved space for the fireworks so this is an added bonus!!! I'm so excited, I'm so excited!!!!:cool1:

12/15 - HS during the day today. I made an ADR for the Fantasmic (late lunch) package. We're eating at the Brown Derby at 2:55. I'm looking forward to the Brown Derby Cobb Salad and the Grapefruit cake. Maybe some Toy Story Mania after lunch (early dinner) and then on to see Fantasmic at 6:30!!! I love this show. It brought me to tears back in 2006 when I first saw it. Aaaah, love the Disney . I guess we'll be calling it an early night after the show. It's killing me that everything closes so early the week we'll be there!!! I'm hoping that since it's a slow week, it won't be crowded and we'll get to ride every ride and see everything!

12/16 - Back to MK, can you tell how much we love this place? We have an ADR at Liberty Tree Tavern at 4:10 and then I'm not sure if we'll stay in MK or head to another park. Again, everything closes early so my options are limited. We might purchase the tickets for the MVMCP for this day. Not sure yet. I know that the Christmas fireworks and parades don't start until after our trip ends so this may be the push for me to get the tickets.

12/17 - I'm thinking either a rest day for the first half. I really want to try the beignets at FQ, so we might take a trip over in the morning. We might head to AK again later in the morning and then we have an ADR for 1900 Park Fare at 6:50 PM. Bought appliques of the step-sisters and Lady Tremaine on Etsy so I can't wait for DD & I to have them on..

12/18 - Last day . Made an ADR for Kona Cafe at 9:05 this morning so I can finally try the Tonga Toast that everyone raves about. Haven't thought about it much, but I'm hoping to go to HS again and maybe MK for one last visit before heading back to NY.

Everything in bold is what I have changed about our trip. Please let me know what you think.

Wal-mart has some of the best Disney tees in stock right now!! Sssh. Don't tell my husband. I'm sure he'll ask about it when he sees the kids wearing them! LOL

I'm trying to decide whether or not I want the kids to wear them yet. I don't know if I want them looking too "new" when we get there!:rotfl2:

275 views but only 25 replies (most of them are mine), c'mon lurkers!! Come out and play!!

Ok, I had originally wanted to stay in POFQ because it's always been a wish to visit New Orleans and stay in the FQ, walk the streets, listen to jazz and of course, visit Cafe DuMonde and eat beignets. When I originally booked, FQ wasn't available so I gladly took Riverside and was thrilled b/c of the trundle bed. Well, today I was going over the packages again and happened to see that FQ opened up for the week we will be there!!! I asked my DH about it and he said "whatever you want". That would normally be a dangerous thing to say to me, but since I wasn't spending extra money, I immediately called WDW and the CM said FQ wasn't available!!! I said, I'm looking at it online right now!!!! After being on hold for 5 minutes (love that Disney music!!), he came back and said he was able to do it!!!

Yay!! I'm now THAT much closer to psuedo-beignets!!!! The pool is cuter and if we still want to use the one at POR, I know we can use both since it's a sister resort!! I'm so happy!!!!

subbing! I love your plans. I know a lot of people don't think the MVMCP is worth it, but I am a fan. Have you looked in to the Wishes Dessert party? maybe instead if you still want to do something special for about 1/2 the money?

Thanks for coming on board!! I'm not sure if the Wishes dessert party will still be around in December. I'm going to try and convince DH to do the MVMCP as a once-in-a-lifetime thing. We'll see what happens...

Lots of changing going on today, first my hotel, now our ADR at Liberty Tree Tavern to 6:50 pm. In a way, I feel like I'm cheating b/c we're not sure if we're going to buy the tickets for MVMCP. If we buy the tickets, then I'll just cancel the ADR, but if not, hopefully a CM doesn't notice us before we can watch the holiday parade and fireworks:angel:. I don't want to go on the rides, eat the cookies or drink the hot chocolate, I just want to see the parades and fireworks without paying $225... Am I a bad person?

It is! They recently extended the dates! I booked for 12/19.

I think if I make hubby spend one more dollar before we get there, he's gonna divorce me!! LOL

We gave in and bought the MVMCP tickets today ($229 with shipping) so I think we're done spending for now.

Since I changed my LTT ADR to 6:50 for the same day as the MVMCP, I checked online and was lucky that they had my original time (4:10) so I snatched it up!

12/10 - Take the kids out of school early and head out on the (hopefully) open road. We're driving so we should be there between 1:00 - 3:00 PM on our check-in day

12/11 - Check-in to Port Orleans French QuarterResort. We were originally going to stay at POR, but I just love the look of POFQ so much. We have twin size air mattresses so we'll bring one down with us and the kids can switch each night b/w the bed and the mattress. Can't wait for beignets!

I know that Wishes starts at 10 and hopefully, we'll be able to watch the fireworks from the Poly Beach.

12/14 - Epcot Day! Hopefully by this point, we haven't pooped ourselves out and we can get to Future World by the time it opens for resort guests at 8:00 AM. I subscribed to Touring Plans so there's a great Epcot FW plan for the morning. Soarin' is our favorite and I want to get on the minute we get in. I called today and got our dream Candlelight Processional package!! We'll be sitting down at Le Cellier for dinner at 5:25 PM and have reserved seating for the 8:15 show!! I'm so excited. 12/15 - HS during the day today. We had a Fantasmic package with late lunch at Brown Derby, but I'm thinking it might not be worth the money. We'll probably eat counter service somewhere and then on to see Fantasmic at 6:30!!! I love this show. It brought me to tears back in 2006 when I first saw it. Aaaah, love the Disney . I guess we'll be calling it an early night after the show. It's killing me that everything closes so early the week we'll be there!!! 12/16 - Back to MK, can you tell how much we love this place? We have an ADR at Liberty Tree Tavern at 4:10 and then we'll putz around for a bit before the MVMCP party starts since we finally gave in and bought the tickets today.

12/17 - I think we might make this a pool morning depending on the weather. If not, then it's back one of the parks! Then we have an ADR for 1900 Park Fare at 7:45 PM.

Everything in bold is what I have changed (again) about our trip. Please let me know what you think.

My DD has been soooooooooooooooo good and has gotten such great grades this year. She received a scholarship to a private school this year and we couldn't be more proud (well, maybe we could, she surprises us a lot!). Well, the school administrator called the other day to let me know that she did REALLY well on her state tests and to make sure we rewarded her! LOL She's been using my original iPod Nano from (2004) and it died so I know she's been wanting a new one. I know she liked the iTouch and I figured she was old enough and responsible enough to have it, but we couldn't see ourselves dropping $200 on one. Well, after watching and bidding all day on eBay, I finally found an iTouch and won!!! Granted, it's a 2nd Generation iTouch, but it's better than nothing!!!! It's brand new (in the box) and I won it for $127.50 plus $5 shipping!! Not too bad right?? I can't wait to give it to her on her 11th bday next month!!!!! I figure if anyone wants to get her anything, they can get her iTunes gift cards, a case, etc.

She's going to be thrilled!:woohoo:

joining in

Thanks for the POR links!!!

I am still trying to decide if we are going to do MVMCP since we did it last year

We will also be at DHS on the 15th and MK on the 16th

color coded our schedule, changed it to a .jpeg file, uploaded to photobucket and voila!
