Our Christmas EXTRAVAGANZA! From Snow to Sun! *Updated 7/3

Hi! I came across your PTR and am so excited for you and your family! Our family of 4 will be at CSR for Christmas, too! We aren't staying as long as your family but we are just happy to get to go to our favorite place during the most wonderful time of the year. I have some of the same concerns about the FP+ strategy as you do. I'm hoping that it will be fine and that we'll get adjusted to the new "normal" quickly. I have been planning our trip for a couple of months now and cannot wait for it to get here. Made our ADR's a couple of weeks ago and now have my list of FP+ ready to book when the time comes. Looking forward to reading more of your PTR!

Just Around the Riverbend

Hey guys. Wow. It's been a while; a REALLY long while. If any of you are still here, I love you so much. And if not, I don't blame you at all haha. I'm super sorry for taking approximately 170 days in between these updates. Life has just been insanely crazy. But I figured that since now it's Christmas break and I have time and we leave for Florida "just around the riverbend" in 2 DAYS (!!!!!), I should probably write something.

Other than a lot of stuff that's been going on in real life, like school and theatre and dance and the usual, we've got a LOT done in preparation for our trip. I promise you that my mother promptly made all our FP+ choices the minute it was possible. We've been working on our touring strategy so we have most things planned down to the hour. And our Magic Bands came in the mail a few weeks ago (obviously)!

And I got to work on painting them to make them fabulous right away!

For mine, I obviously opted to go for a Tangled theme because Tangled is my life. I could not be happier with how it turned out. For real. I don't want to brag, but it's gorgeous.

For my brother's, he asked me to paint his like Woody's shirt. At first he just said he wanted the main part to be yellow and told me to just add the read stripes. But I was like, "Bro. I'm gonna do more than that." So this happened and I love it! He does too, which is good, 'cause this is what he's getting.

My mom wanted hers to be Christmas themed. Personally, at the moment, I am quite anti-Frozen, so when she asked me to paint Olaf on it, I gave her the look. Frozen is just taking over everything and it makes me really mad so I'm not a fan of its popularity. But the movie itself is still beautiful and I really love the animation. It just needs to stop taking over the world. Is that too much to ask? But I digress. Nevertheless, I painted Olaf, plus a few cute and glittery snowflakes. And she loves it!

At first, my dad didn't want his Magic Band painted. But I kept pressuring him to let me unleash my artistic abilities upon it and eventually he said I could haha. Since his was originally orange, I painted Tigger! There really aren't that many orange Disney characters, which was difficult. But Tigger is wonderful and he turned out pretty well!

So those are all our Magic Bands!

Now, our vacation is only 2 days away. And there's still literally SO much to do. My last day of school before winter break was on Friday, so I spent the rest of that day doing homework so I wouldn't have to do it in Florida. I also found some time to paint my nails for our trip, which are Little Mermaid themed! However, I didn't take a picture and I don't have any motivation to do so now, but once I get back from Disney and start the actual trip report, I'll be sure to include a photo of them in there!

Today, we had a family Christmas party, since we won't be here for actual Christmas. It was super fun! So much food. Mmmm. Before the party, though, I worked on even more homework and made snowflakes for the Christmas party with my friends that I'm 1/2 in charge of tomorrow! After the family party, I continued making snowflakes and am now currently writing this.

Tomorrow I have another Christmas party, except this one is with my friends. Like I said, my other friend and I are making MILLIONS of snowflakes to decorate with and it's gonna be a winter wonderland and I'm SO excited. Everybody is required to dress up all fancy and it's going to be so extremely classy and great. We even made formal invitations for it a few weeks ago and it took 5 hours to make all of them. We used SO much glitter. But it was so worth it because they were fabulous.

Anyway, after the party tomorrow, my cousins from Texas are visiting us on their way to my grandparents house. Which is also super exciting because we haven't seen them since June! Once they leave, it's off to bed for us, because our flight on Monday morning is at 6:45 am. Yup. We want to get to the airport around 5:15 in order to have enough time to go through security and such, so we have to leave our house around 4:15 or 4:30ish. Which means I'm going to have to wake up at 3:00 am. Ouch. So the earlier I can get to sleep, the better, but I mean it's still the night before Disney. So I don't really know how much sleep I'll actually be able to get haha. We'll just have to see!

Alright. This is probably the last update I'm going to write before we leave, seeing as there's not much else to report on. I'm so incredibly excited for this trip; it's going to be the best one EVER and I can't wait to write all about it when I get back. We have so much planned and it's going to be crazy crowded, but that's okay because WE'LL BE IN DISNEY WORLD. AHHHHHHHH. Guys. I'M LEAVING IN TWO DAYS. WOOOOOO!

Holy heck look at those bands! Mine are lame lol. But I have no art skills at all and luckily my family has realistic expectations!
