Our 4th FP+ of the day...

They were giving paper FPs today with all the glitches, which really screwed up some of the FP lines since the paper FPs were good for any ride.

Yay paper fp...a step towards going back to legacy fp :yay:
A girl can hope right?

This just shows Disney doesn't have their act together. There are too many issues with this system.

Is anyone seeing 4th and 5th FP's being issued for times during evening EMH? Legacy FP's started over at the beginning of evening EMH and I'm trying to figure out how FP+ will effect EMH?

When were FPs ever available during EMH? :confused3

Under the old FP system they would re-open the FP machines at night when evening EMH started. For BIG rides like TSMM or RNR you had to get in that line 1/2 before EMH started to get another FP for the evening because it would run out again. Now I'm wondering if 4 or 5 fp+ return times are being offered during EMH hours too? Or if you use 3 at one park then hop for EMH, will a 4th be offered at that second park during EMH?

Has anyone gotten a Wishes fastpass after using the first 3 ? This I really would like to know because if it will not be possible I'm going to book one before we go ?

Tried to do that today but no luck. Got to MK around 5:30 and tried to book Wishes after using the first three fastpasses at DHS but Wishes was gone. Ended up getting a good seat right in front of the castle anyway, probably because rain sent a lot of folks home.

i tried reading much of the thread and even searched -- but no clear answer yet. park hopping and 4th and beyond attraction fp -- do I have to physically be in that park? If I book 4th in MK, can I switch it on my iphone to an epcot option? if both of those are a no, do ALL people have to be in the park or just one to book for a group? my plan is to use 3 fp in MK before 1 -- then head back to resort for naps and then back out in the evening to epcot and thinking that if I could book a fastpass for soarin or other tier 1 option (i'd have a much better chance at 12:30 than at 4:30) before going back to the hotel. If I have to physically be there, hoping that I could do it myself for everyone while they head back to the room and i meet them after....possible?

When we added 4th FP+ at the kiosks we were not given an option for a different park. Only showed those available at the park you are at. If you have everyone's magic band you could book for all of them, not sure if you can do it without the magic bands. We didn't try to add 4th fastpasses using a phone so can't say about that.

I need their bands?? Really?? So how do the kiosks work? I just assumed you hit your magic band on something so it knows it's you but then it should also know my party...
Let's say I'm still in mk with my party...they all have to wait in the kiosk line?

Not necessarily, but to be safe I would assume so. Yesterday, an iPad CM was able to change the times of my group of 4 by scanning just one RFID ticket.

Did you have Park Hopper tickets? If not, perhaps they will not give you a different park option.....

I will say this. If the net result of all of this is that the super users conclude that they have a bigger advantage than they had under the FP system, it will be the greatest irony of the century. Of course, even if they could do more with FP+ than they could with paper FP, they would never admit it, and would still find something to complain about, like the fact that they miss hugging those little slips of paper.

Not really ironic, since complaining in the first place may have lead to Disney expanding FP+ options. This way they give the returnees a good deal and placate the clueless.

Still, if the general public couldn't understand FP-, I am thinking that FP+ will be unfathomable.

My story about FP- is seeing a long line at Maelstrom. FP machines had been closed because of lack of interest, but were opened up once a long line formed. I pulled an FP and waltzed right in while standby was 30 minutes. I told people they could now get an FP, but nobody seemed to know what I was talking about.

Ok thanks. Did you get fastpasses for some of the popular rides after your 3rd even though they didnt have wishes available ?

If that really bothers you, there are ways to deal with it.

Say, for example, that I am going to Epcot next week and want a FP for Soarin and nothing else. I could:

1. Just select Soarin and proceed.

2. After asking if I really want to proceed with just one choice, the system will offer 2 other FP's to me in my options, and I can select an option that has the time for Soarin that is closest to what I want (I could also change this time later if I'm trying to fit a very specific slot).

3. Once the 3 FPs are assigned, I can go back to the page with my reservations and go to "update FP+".

4. On the next screen I select cancel, and the system will allow me to select and cancel just the two I don't want, leaving just Soarin in place.

It would be nice if it was more straightforward (like allowing you to just pick one in the first place), and maybe that will come some day. If you don't want to go through these extra steps, just pick two other attractions that almost certainly won't sell out, like Captain EO or Imagination. The chances that your FPs to those are going to keep anyone else from getting what they want are pretty slim.

Thanks for the advice! I didn't know that cancelling 2 was an option.

We had hoppers, no other park was given as an option.

You can only book the 4th FP+ in the park you are at.
So if you go to AK in the morning and use your 3 FP+, then want to hop to MK, you have to use a kiosk at MK to book your 4th FP.

MK has quite a bit of night time availability.
A couple nights ago went around 6pm, and went on Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise, then Pirates with FP+ we reserved that afternoon.
4th FP+ was Small World,
5th was Under the Sea
6th was Buzz
7th was Speedway
8th was Pooh.

Each return time was 30 minutes or less, except for Pooh which was around 1 hour. That late at night (we left around 11:30) no Mountains or major headliners were available.

We are going to be in HS at rope drop. Had 3 fastpasses booked. Decided we weren't going to us the 3rd one so I cancelled it. We now have 2 fastpasses at HS.

My question is: If we park hop to MK after fastpass #2 is used will I be able to book a fastpass upon entry to the park? I am beginning to think I shouldn't have cancelled #3 and should just have let it expire.
