Our 2nd Shot at the Dream Team -TONS OF PICS. 10/28 New PTR LINK

I love the scroll/poster idea. You have such cute stuff.

And I love the countdown calendar. I can't believe you say you're not creative. Question: How are you hiding THAT from the kids?

Did you individually cut every mickey head off the backer (assuming those are liberated from Home Depot). I have tried peeling them off - to no avail. I really don't want to do the tedious job of cutting them each out. Maybe I'll do a 1-day countdown calendar to avoid that! :rotfl: I crack myself up - sorry.

Susan, you crack me up! I guess after looking at some other calendars mine seems boring in comparison:confused3 I am hiding it behind my armoire in my bedroom. I figure the boys won't look behind things to find there own toys they sure as heck won't look behind anything in my room :rotfl:

Sadly, yes I did cut each heisted Mickey head by hand:sad2: I did it while watching TV and figured it was a good way to keep myself from snacking:lmao:

Thanks for your sweet comments!:flower3:

Aren't those ladies at the Creative DISigns board just the best? Love the shirts, sure the boys will too! And give yourself some credit, very cute countdown calendar! And each by hand, you are dedicated!

It will be here before you know it, our last month flew by! Now these last few days are a draggin!

Allyson

Your countdown calendar looks fabulous! :)

I love the blue crocs! (repeating over and over again that I *don't* need a pair for myself ;)) I love the t-shirts too! They came out great :)

So, the boys will be finding out about the trip on Easter? You'll have to videtape their reaction!

Thanks Carissa! Aww come on every Mom *needs* a pair of crocs!;) I hope we can videotape the boys but our current video camera is broken and we are in the process of looking for a new one. Bryan wants one with a hard drive and they are costly!:sad2: Thanks for all your sweet comments:goodvibes

Hi everyone! Hope your all having a good weekend! Ours has been busy and we had terrible rain and wind here over the weekend and some trees and power lines have been knocked down but we survived unscathed:thumbsup2 So I was looking over our itinerary last night and realized they changed the hours at Magic Kingdom for the 29th of April, it was originally slated for a Pirate and princess party but it is now back to regular park hours 9-9 soooooooo I am reevaluating our plans and trying to squeeze in 1 more viewing of Wishes! I will be sure to post an updated itinerary when I finish tweaking it (for the 3rd time).

Of course I have been shopping again!! I found 2 of the most adorable shirts for myself at WalMart.:cool1: The best part is they were only $6.88. I will post pictures of them tomorrow. I have my family coming over for dinner today!:thumbsup2 I also ordered jibbitz for the boys Disney crocs. Hopefully they will be here this week and I will post pics. of them when they come in too!

Yesterday, I was driving Matthew to batting practice for baseball and says "Mom, can we please go back to Disney this year?" I said " Matthew, I really don't think so, we were just there last spring and it really is going to be too much to try and go again this soon.";) I felt so guilty lying to him like that, but I am hoping that will make the surprise on Easter that much better!:goodvibes

COol..Can't wait to see your shirts. I love Walmart..Always have a nice selection of Disney clothes for kids and adult at such cheap prices:thumbsup2
:thumbsup2

Aww..Did it break your heart to say no to Matthew and what was expression on his face? It would have been so hard to not tell him the truth. Glad you didn't break and still held the secret. I think your reveal is going to be great:wizard:

I can't wait to see the shirts!!! :) Cool Crocs!!! and The calendar looks great you are creative :goodvibes

Ok so I previously made a list of things to do/buy. Well tonight I have been making lists like crazy! I want you all to see if I am forgetting anything. I am starting to get that panicked feeling. I know I still have over a month but this month is ridiculously busy. I have 2 baby showers, a bridal shower, baseball season starting, my 2 sisters birthdays, my birthday, Matthew's birthday, Easter (which I am hosting), 1st holy communion. Plus all the normal school stuff:scared1: I know everyone has their fair share of stuff to do but for me right now tonight I just panicked!

Here are the lists..........

Packing List
Travel coffee cups
Plastic cups
Goldfish
Pria bars
Chocolate chip granola bars
Gum
Fruit snacks
Clorox wipes

Debrox
Eric’s asthma meds
Vitamins (all 4 of us)
Matthew’s meds
Band aids
Neosporin
Lotion(kids)
Toothbrushes
Toothpaste (kids & ours)
Listerine
Floss
Body glide
Deodorant
Face soap
Lotion (me)
Razor (me & Bryan)
Shaving cream
Kids shampoo

Hairbrushes (2)
Hair ties/clips
Hairspray
Smoothing crème
Jewelry
Sunglasses (all 4)
q-tips
Tide laundry stick
Lanyards with pins

Laptop? (not 100% sure we'll bring it)

I do not want to do laundry while we’re away if I can help it! Hey it’s a vacation for me too right? So, keep that in mind when you review our list!

Boys clothing list
Underwear (12)
Shorts (12)
Shirts (14)
Socks (12)
Pajamas ( 3 pair)
Bathing suits (3)
Swim shirts (3)
Hats (2)
Crocs
Flip flops
Sneakers (2)
Swim goggles

The boys will wear jeans and light jackets on the flight down because the weather could potentially still be chilly here in NJ in April and we don‘t leave until the evening. I plan to bathe them the afternoon before we leave. I think they will be able to wear those same jeans and jacket home.

I still have to make a list for Bryan and I and one for what I have to get from the store.

Thanks for following along!:goodvibes

Lists are good :thumbsup2

By the way, lying in order to surprise your children is 100% acceptable. No worries :goodvibes

Hey! I finally caught up!

I love your crocs! :lovestruc

IMG_2208.jpg

I want to buy me some Disney crocs, but they either don't sell them in Canada (or in Quebec in particular) or I simply never saw any. :confused3
So I'm waiting to be in WDW to buy a pair! (surely I'll find a pair in those Disney outlets?!).

IMG_2204.jpg

Wow, I love, love, love your countdown calendar!
You showed not only a lot of creativity, but a lot of patience!!! :thumbsup2
Wanna know what I did? I bought a Disney calendar, decorated it with stickers and glitter, wrote the countdown numbers, and I'm putting a Disney sticker on each day that goes by... Not very original, huh? :guilty:
And I'm supposed to be creative! :rotfl2:But I didn't get to the Home depot (not even sure they have those paint chips over here... I need to go soon to get some, if ever they have them!) and let's not forget... I wasn't a DIS fanatic when I decided to make it either...
I'm catching up on creativity now, though... After seeing the Creative DISign board and the DDA (Disney DISign Addict) threads, I was hooked. My problem is I love all things creative and artsy, but never know what to do. I lack the spark.
Now I have almost too much spark! So I have lots of projets of mousekeeping envelopes, CM thank you cards, name tags... and iron-on tank tops (we don't do Tshirts :snooty:):rotfl:... I love most of the DISigns the DDA did on the boards, but since I'm able to do it myself and love these things, I only took the inspiration, and I'll do the big job myself instead of asking another DISer to customize it!

Finally : thank you for posting your lists:worship:... I already did most of mine (altough I didn't post them, didn't think it could be of any interest!)... and I realized there were some things I had forgotten! (like plastic cutlery... altough, you didn't list it here, but you had listed it as something to buy earlier... or am I mistaken with another poster? :rolleyes1 Anyways... you did list plastic cups, and it made me think of plastic cutlery!)... I also think that, without you, we'd have forgotten Kleenex... Oh, of course we could've bough that en route (especially since we're driving), but unlike many that prefer buying a lot of things on arrival, we prefer packing all that's needed instead of paying a blown-up price (aka tourist-price)...
That way we'll also have all that we could need for the drive!

Until then... let's continue panicking together!

P.S. I know what storm you're talking about ::yes::... it hit here too, but in snow and ice-pellets instead of rain. More than 15" of snow, gusts of wind at more than 50m/hr... It started Friday and ended this morning.
This morning, even snowplowers, wreckers and police cars were stuck! :scared1:
There were hundreds of abandoned cars along highways and other main roads. Cops patrolled these roads on snowmobiles (ski-doos, as we call them) during the night to rescue those people!!! The images we saw on TV were surreal...
It's the worst snowstorm since about 30 years! Not so much because of the snow quantity as the combination of the high winds which caused poor (no) visibility and huge snow banks...
And of course, there were many who lost power (we had a couple of scares yesterday, losing power for seconds at a time, at least 10 times yesterday evening!) and there was some material damage across the province (broken trees, roofs partly gone, etc.). What a winter we had...
:cold:

Hey, kiddo, I missed a bunch of your planning. But the good news for you is that if I am back, that means your trip is coming up soon! :thumbsup2

Love the shirts for the boys! They are adorable. Alex finally noticed crocs when we were at the parks. He had a puzzled look on his face and asked me, "Why is everyone wearing enormous clown shoes?" :rotfl2: I told him I had heard they were very comfortable. Then he asked me not to buy any.;)

Love the reaction of you and your boys before leaving POP last time. :) My dd5 (was 4 then), had such a terrible time with leaving, we told her, "We'll come back." The next morning she got up and said she was ready to see Monkey Mouse again.

:thumbsup2 Hey i just found your report last night and it's great!!! I'm from Jersey too and i agree this has been the most annoying winter aaaand that wind and rain was terrible :scared1: You're report is getting me so excited for my trip and yours!!! I can't wait to read more:surfweb:
