We looked outside and the weather still looked horrible. The trees were swaying like crazy from the wind. So, we decided to ride the monorail over to Epcot, and take a bus to our resort for the evening. It took a while to get on the monorail, because they were switching them for the night.
By time we got on the monorail, we passed Magic Kindgdom, and looked up at the sky. We could tell the cloulds had really cleared. We looked around and the trees weren’t swaying in the wind anymore. It’s like the weather had just cleared: no wind, rain, or clouds.

We weren’t going back to our room anymore. We just passed Magic Kingdom, so we decided on Epcot which just so happens to have EMH that night.
We get to Epcot about 7:00, go through security bag check, where the CM smashed our desserts into one gooey mess. Thank goodness I had my brownie in my bag and was guarding it with my life from the dessert smashing security lady.
The weather was great. It wasn’t really that cold being that it had rained all day. It felt great, we were well rested, and on a major sugar high. We were ready for a night of Epcot fun!
First things first. Spaceship Earth.
We hadn’t done this one before, and we really enjoyed it. Our videos at the end were so funny. I e-mailed mine back home to enjoy it over and over.
Next was the Seas with Nemo and Friends.
This one reminded me of the Nemo Submarine ride at
Disneyland. It was very cute. And, I love Chico. Oops, I mean Nemo.
We love Turlte talk at California Adventure. So, that was our next destination.
And, Crush had a conversation with both Megan and Matthew. That is the cutest show, ever!
We thought we’d try our luck with Soarin’, and Yay, stand by line was only 15minutes. We were doing our rides just one after another tonight without any fastpasses. I think most people had gone back to their rooms by now because of the earlier weather.
We went on Living with the Land, and that was very interesting. We really enjoyed seeing all the vegetation that is being grown at Epcot. Wow, who would have known ?
We walked over to check out Mission space. 10 minutes for the green side. Yeah ! Cliff had done Mission space in ’05, when it was only the orange side and hated it. He didn’t feel good after that ride at all. But, he tried the green side, and enjoyed it so much better. The kids and I thought it was a fun ride.
Now it’s time for “Test Track, baby !” (That’s what Perky Polly, um Stacy, calls it)
The kids did this one when they were five and still rememberd it. That’s the ride they kept wanted to try again at Epcot. The wait for this was about 20 minutes, but still not too bad. They enjoyed the ride, but not as much as they remembered it. They thought it probably was more of a roller coaster ride.
By this time it was about 10:30, and we had done everything but Ellen’s adventure, but it was down for some reason. So, we would try to do it later. We decided it was time to head back to our room. We had planned to do Epcot the next day, starting with Future world and World Showcase in the afternoon. But, since we did all the rides tonight, we decided to sleep in the next morning. We would come back to Epcot at 11:00 and do World showcase and have lunch.
We had a great night at Epcot and were in great moods waiting for our bus to CBR. While we were waiting for the bus, I was reading the map to see where we would start the next day, and what food we may be interested in eating. I went over the whole map and couldn’t figure out why I couldn’t find what foods each country had to eat. For America, I knew it had to be burgers and stuff. So, I read America’s description to see what I could find. It said, “Liberty Inn-hamburger, huhn, salate. Fife& Drum- truthahnkeulen, bier”
Hmmmmm, why can’ t I find any food anywhere ? Finally, the lightbulb went off in my head.

Um, maybe this map isn’t in English ? When I realized this, I started getting the giggles there in line. When Cliff was finally able to understand what I was saying, we laughed and laughed.

People were trying to ignore us. I looked at the map, and it was in Parkplan Auf Deutsch. I guess that means in Dutch, I still don’t know. I laughed so hard, the tears were coming! Maybe it was the sugar, maybe it was late, maybe I’m just a bit goofy.
The bus finally came and sent us back to our insane asylum, where we belong.
We fell asleep about 12:30 that night. We get to sleep in tomorrow morning! Disney dreamin’ ……………….
Up next: Day 3: World Showcase, Swimming at the pool, and Big River Brewing Co. (And, Matthew gets stabbed at Epcot)
