Kristilee, am glad things seem to be levelling out. Mono seems to be prevalent this summer. I used to work as a CRNA too, but stopped to care for an ailing mom, which makes me sympathize with you for your back problems. I know all too well how painful they can be. Just walking (and tolerating the spasms) can be a real accomplishment.
But, despite the difficulties we face, just getting up every day and continuing on, one step at a time, sometimes is the best we can do. I always try to remind myself that God doesn't always give us what we want but He promises to never leave us and I've clung to that thought many times. If your DH has mono, you know it's nothing to be taken lightly and I know you're not, but it'll take months before he's back up to speed.
I'm just so glad that it's something that can be worked through and that your DD is on the mend also. Unfortunately, it's sometimes difficulties like these and Katrina that make us grateful for the day-to-day lives that we have. You're blessed to have family to depend on. Hoping things continue upward.
