OT: New baby to add to the collection!

Here is a pic of my Baby Sugar Glider.. she is about 3 weeks out of pocket.
For those that don't know what sugar gliders are they are marsupials like the kangaroo or koala.

We have 1 adult female and 2 adult males. Apparently the 3rd time is a charm because this one made it safely and didnt die.

She is smaller than the my palm.. she reaches from the tip of my thumb to the back knucle her tail adds about 1 1/2 inches.

Ours is the opposite. All but 1 of our sugar gliders are friendly and our hamsters all flip out... :

I've never heard of a sugar glider but boy is that little critter *adorable*. If I didn't have a gang of cats who'd think that was the latest in cat toys, I might be inclined to get one

I have done some research and have decided to get to of them for my daughter but I am waiting until just before school starts.

Make sure when you get them they are hand raised or babies. or they wont let you hold them and will bite. If they are not used to human contact they can be little boogers but if they are use to humans they will be very sweet.

I was reading a website about sugar gliders. It said that they all had their own unique smell. Is the smell of the sugar gliders compareable to a ferret?

Little boogers eh? Would that make the ones exposed to human contact boogies...?
