OT: Montreal help

I would like some store and restaurant gift certificate ideas for Montreal for my university age nephew who lives in Montreal. Is there a Bay , Walmart, Swiss Chalet,or Kelseys there? Or should I give him cash? He goes to Concordia if this helps. Thanks. Any names that we might have in Ontario would help me out a lot since I want to go out this weekend and Xmas shop .

you can get him HMV which is in downtown, 1 station away from Concordia; in downtown, you can also find bay, old navy, hmv, zara, chapters,you can also get him cirque du soleil ticket.... Wallmart or swiss chalet is not in downtown

I think Kelseys is just in the suburbs so it might be inconvenient for him. There is a large Bay store downtown though. All the other places that Louisaho mentioned would be easy for him to get to. There's also a big Gap store nearby.
I'll try to think of more places for you. I actually used to live near Concordia but my mind is drawing a blank.

Thanks for the quick replies everybody. The Bay and Gap are 5 min's away for me to get to, so I think I'll go with that idea.
