When you initially connect, you are redirected to the orange wifi website.

You pay for an allowance of so many hours (from a number of options) through that site using a card, which then connects you to the internet properly.

You SHOULD also receive an e-mail containing a username or password for if you use it at a later time, though Small World did mention last week that she never received this, so they had to go to reception and ask them to sort this out for them.

Thankyou :goodvibes

OMG! I am so bored today!!!

I know I always say plannign what rides you are going to go on is a mistake.

But I am SO tempted to plan for me October trip just to pass some time!

I already planned what I'm ordering at restaurants!

I think I need professional help!!

I don't even know why anyone would go online when they are on holiday. I'm always having to much fun to even contemplate going online.

I went on in the evenings from the Lobby before dinner and stuff.

I just dont understand why people would, unless they was waiting for a important email or was there for business.

I do it more in the evenings than anything.

During the day, I spend my time in the parks, swimming or whatever, but I quite often pop online in the evenings after dinner to just catch up with friends back home etc...

Taking my last holiday in DLRP as an example, I would often have dinner, then head out at about 9 or 10 (when all I'd be doing otherwise was sitting in the room), have a nose around the village shops, then pop over to Macdonalds for a drink and a chat to friends on MSN and DIS for an hour or two :goodvibes

The other thing I use it for is checking information such as news, weather, train delays, flight delays etc so I can plan for any problems should they arise.

I certainly don't do anything work related while I'm away though - it's not a holiday if I'm switched on thinking about work.

Thats fair enough, but for me im too caught up in my holiday and having fun to even want to go online or go on msn and chat to my friends what ever the time of the day.

I go on holiday to escape the real world not bring it with me lol.

My 14 year old brother just informed me that my wedding isn't very 'him' and he's dreading 'just sitting there' while we get married.... :sad1:

Ditto, im so exhausted by the time ive had dinner etc that the first thing i care about is getting in bed and sleeping, not popping online to DIS or whatever :lmao:

Phone? Far too expensive - we just used internet via a wire instead :rotfl:

Seriously though - When I was in Seattle last month, Skype was one of the most useful things I've ever come across as it cut down the cost of phoning home while I was on my course my so much - I only spent about $3 for 4 decent length phonecalls.

I didn't use it at all once I hit DL though - the park hours were so long I didn't get time to think about internet :thumbsup2

Well a phone was good enough for me back then and its good enough for me now.

I don't have time to log online and check the weather forcast etc, if there is a problem I'll use my phone, pop to train station or speak to reception. Because even if there was a problem that you located online i bet you 99% of the time you would have to use your phone to rectify the problem/delay/etc anyway.

We brought our laptop with us when we went to France last summer - it was more for the kids to watch DVDs (on rainy days). However, I have to admit that I got quite excited when I found out that the restaurant at the holiday park had free wi-fi for guests  After the kids had gone to bed, I went there for 15-20 mins to check my emails etc while Peter had his shower. Mind you, it did come in handy as we needed to check route maps and find out info on opening times etc. I would never do it during the day... only at the end of the day when there's nothing else to do (there's no telly to watch either) and it's still too early for bed. For someone like me, going without the net for 2-3 days is heck of a long time, let alone 2 whole weeks away! I'm sad, I know.
