I am hoping someone here can help. I am looking to buy my DD some pieces from the Gymboree Cupcake Cutie line on ebay from last season, but I really don't know what size to buy. She is 13 mos now, but it's really a Fall/Winter line so she'll be 16-22 months when she'd wear it.

Do they run true to size? Are the tops different from the bottoms? I am thinking of buying 18-24 bottoms and 2T tops, but it's hard to know.

Thanks!!

Hi,
I have had tons of luch with Gymboree stuff on e-bay!! My daughter is what I would consider a 'normal' size 1 year old and wears a 12-18 but is now pushing to the 18-24 months. The dresses always seem to fit a bit small but everything else is pretty true to size or get one size ahead. Keep in mind that the stuff on Ebay has allready been washed and shrucken!! Good luck!

I find that even when I buy Gymboree stuff new in the store, I find myself buying a size up from what I typically buy my kids.

I find Gymboree to be true to size and they don't shrink as much as some other kids clothes. I'd probably buy 18-24 months for that age!

DS is just turned two and weights 28 pounds. Gymboree clothing has always been a little big on him--especially pants. We are just retiring some 12-18 month t-shirts from last summer.

Gymboree pants usually run long but their shirts run TTS. I would probably size down on the pants depending on how long of legs your dd has. The outlet will mostly likely also be getting the Cupcake Cutie line so that may be another option if you have one close by.

I've always bought about one size up from Gymboree. Particularly on the tops and any of the knit leggings, but my girls are tall and skinny, so we have to get them long enough and then usually take a tuck or two in the waistband so they don't fall down. So, I think they do run pretty true, but make sure to take your child's size relative to her age into account.

We have a bunch of the cupcake line for the girls and it's adorable. I hope you get some good stuff!

I buy Gymbo for my DD all the time on Ebay. Here is what I found. She was always VERY true to size in all of Gymbo "used" clothes that I purchase on ebay from the older lines. When she hit 12 months - the 12/18 was just starting to fit her - when she hit 18 months - the 18/24 start to fit her. Then she turned 2.....all older lines she fit into great with 2t. THEN - I bought some gymbucks on ebay and headed to the store. I purchased a few items from Cupcake Cutie line and they were all TOO long for her! I noticed this with a all the lines I purchased from the store - they were all bigger than older lines purchased online.

SOOO - I would not purchase the 2T. Stick with the 18-24 all way around.

I have only bought Gymbo clothing used, and it has always run big on both of my boys (both tops and pants). My boys are rather skinny, but tall and the pants are usually too long and the shirts they usually wear 2 sizes smaller than what they wear in any other brand. It sounds like most of the other posters have girls. Maybe they run different for boys vs. girls? Or maybe my children are just weird. :)
