I dunno...I think the "sheep armor" looks rather fetching with the STIRRUP PANTS. THEY PUT STRETCHY STIRRUP PANTS ON HIM. ON A MAN. FOR THE FALL, YET.

And although I am a total freak for bags (it's a sickness), what is that thing he is carrying?

Honestly, the designers are so out there at times. What would Tim Gunn say if someone was makeing that for the runway?

I really like the Armani. Not too sure about Valentino jacket. Looks like something my mother wore in the sixties.

So whatsa' matter wit the bathroom rug the poor guy is wearing?

Stretch pants on guys? Well, I suppose. Jean Claude Killy wore them.

That particular Armani is the pick of the litter. Not all their stuff was as good (and the Emporio Armani collection was ), but that shirt and that jacket kick butt.

Personally, I love the Valentino jacket. I think without it, the outfit becomes a little too "Hi, I'm Julie, your cruise director." If it's the white that's putting you off, they trotted out the same jacket in camel (pic #2) and black (pic #3), and I think either of those would look swell instead of the white.

Though I am not usually a big fan of his clothes, I loved everything Valentino put on the runway this year. I am most coveting the items in the four pics below (including the model from pic #2).

Honestly, the designers are so out there at times.

This whole clothing-as-performance-art thing doesn't do anything for people like me who are actually looking for clothing to buy (or looks we like and can emulate using clothing we can actually afford), but the fashion editors and critics EAT IT UP. Miuccia Prada could tie 3 models inside a Hefty bag and someone would say it's brilliant.

(And in case you're wondering, you can fit 3 runway models in a Hefty tall kitchen bag, but you have to fold them right.)

Wow! You folks sound really knowledgeable about this stuff -- I don't think I'd care much for stretch pants with stirrups on anybody (I still remember my mom's friend Mr.s Noel wearing'em to a barbeque back around 1964 and it wasn't a pretty sight -- coming or going)
At this point in my life, I'm totally satisfied if my grooming attempts reach the tipping point of "Not Unsightly".
