Anyone been to one of these? What did you think? I understand that it is possible to just go for the day. Is CocoKey otherwise similar to Great Wolf? How large? Clean? Food available? We'd be looking to go to the one in Mt Laurel NJ.

Thanks for any info!

I have been to the great wolf in pa and cocokey in CT. Coco key you can get day passes. We did it on line. Coco key was smaller then great wolf. My DS6 had fun at both. There was only 1 large slide he was allowed to do at coco key (they only had 3Lg) It had a lazy river and fun play area w/ small slides. Indoor outdoor hot tub. over all it was smaller but I felt I could let him venture a little farthr from me. I don't know the age of your kids but the older kids may get bored quicker then at great wolf. Coco key was a good day trip but I do not feel the need to stay over night. They had a fast food tyoe place with pizza. hamburgers etc. I like great wolf better but the price for a day escape is a lot nicer at coco key.

We went to the CoCo Key in Mt. Laurel for New Year's Eve. The kids really enjoyed themselves. The water park was very clean and had lots of water activities for kids of all ages. I would not stay overnight unless it was a special package like New Year's Eve...lots of other activities were available besides the water park. With that being said, another reason I wouldn't stay overnight is b/c I only live 15 mins away. The actual hotel rooms are not themed like Great Wolf Lodge, but they are, however, very clean and recently renovated. I don't feel that CoCo Key can even compare to Great Wolf Lodge. Great Wolf Lodge has the feeling of a resort whereas CoCo Key has a smaller water park that just so happens to be attached to the Marriott.

Im a school teacher in NJ and several of my students have gone to Birthday parties at the one in Mt. Laurel. They are 7 years old, and they talk about it for days afterwards!

We went to the one here in Ohio and had fun. There was food available. we got our tix online for $12 per person:woohoo: honestly it wasn't worth much more than that ;). It is fun, but it's pretty small. Maybe we're spoiled...here in Ohio, we have had Great Wolf for several years and spent all birthdays there until Kalahari opened up. Kalahari is by far the biggest and best. When we went to Coco Key my 7 yr old son's words were "this place is SMALL".. but for $12....it was well worth it and we had a very good time. we won't drive an hour and a half to go there again though ;) My boss lives like 5 minutes from there and they go for the day w/2 year old all the time.
If their locker system is the same, they worked out really well. they were a wristband w/like a sensor in them.

Thanks for the input everybody - we are big fans of Great Wolf, too, so I am glad to hear those comparisons. We'd be going with a group of 11-12 year olds so I am thinking CocoKey sounds a little small and maybe better for a younger crowd?
Also glad that someone mentioned Kalahari - I saw something about it on the Travel Channel - sounds like that is worth checking out!
Thanks again!!
