OT-Chattanooga TN

Anyone from Chattanooga or familiar with the area? We are thinking about going for a mini break in a couple of weeks but I dont know where to stay. We will only be a staying about 3 days/2 nights. I have looked at hotels online but its hard to judge how the area is by looking at the websites. I dont want to end up in a rough part of town with my family... ya know?

Also, what are the big "must do" things in town? Any suggestions for attractions or restaurants would be greatly appreciated!!

I am from Knoxville and have been there many times. If you find a hotel near the aquarium you'll be good. There are also many things to do, they have a fantastic childrens museum (hands-on), and Imax and all kinds of things with in walking distance. My sister works for Marriot Corp. and that is where we always stay.

I would recommend staying at the Holiday Inn Chattanooga Choo Choo. You can stay in standard rooms or if your budget isn't tight you can stay in one of the victorian train cars. http://www.choochoo.com/

I live a few miles from Chattanooga and there is the Chattanoogan Hotel which is very nice with a spa. www.chattanooganhotel.com

Hi!!
We always stay up in Lookout Mtn. It isn't far away.
We stay at a bed and breakfast called "The Garden Walk".
I love it in Chattanooga and Lookout Mtn. We'll be going
this summer.
