It seems these changes greatly modify the purpose of ChaCha. A human who is proficient in English reads your question and is able to determine what you likely are asking not just give generated answers. I know the expeditors are humans , but they are given only a few choices for answers (if I am understanding this correctly). How is ChaCha different from the other services available...oh I know, there is a twenty question limit.

I had a chemistry question today, and a box came up with several choices and said is one of these the answer? i knew the answer so chose it, and sent it to the IS

I just got another one
asked about 2003 superbowl,
the answer choices included the patriots the raider, the panters, and one other i forget,
so i had to look this up.
next one i wont answer, i forgot this time

I guess I am clueless. I thought all they did was "clean up" the question and send it on, with a category heading.

If they are now answering questions, combined with the 20 question limit, it's no wonder we aren't getting anything. (BTW, I'm not mad at you. LOL Just shocked!!)

i agree with all of this. if expeditors are going to do the job, they should receive the same pay. we have been outsourced for cheaper labor, and that cheaper labor is getting the shaft. honestly, i don't care about any of it anymore. after being "blessed" with 225 queries yesterday, i've received SIXTEEN so far today. i cannot for the life of me understand how work can be distributed so unevenly. and the top guide of all top guides had over 2,500 queries! WHAAAAAAT? how the *^#@ is that possible? i sit here 12-14 hours per day and can barely make 100 queries each day! i just don't get it, i wish someone could explain how the system works. but i guess we'll never get any answers b/c chacha doesn't believe in communicating with the likes of us. they're rather let us sit here idle, twiddling our thumbs and killing ourselves changing our C&I when they know that doesn't matter. i bet they get a good laugh out of us.

I haven't been to ChaCha yet today. I'm sorry, but it really makes me mad when I hear that someone had over 2,500 queries! I just don't get it.

If you are sitting there 12-14 hours a day, how long must they be sitting there??? 24/7?

I used to be able to do ChaCha while the kids were in school. But I can't even sit here as long as you can because once my four kids come home it's chaos with homework/dinnertime/bathtime, etc.

I wish I could get 200 questions a week, let alone 2000! Sheesh! I haven't made Top Guide the last two weeks and I am really frustrated. I am constantly logged into ChaCha and the rate at which I am getting questions is depressing. Maybe things will pick up over the weekend. I usually get a ton of football questions on the weekends.

That's how I feel about it too - I can surf, watch tv and ChaCha. Some nights I get spurts other times not so much. But I will take what I can get.

Expeditors can only answer CERTAIN questions and still only get paid 3 cents to do so. Trust me that isn't stopping or slowing down your flow. Right now most expeditors earn less than $2/hour, sometimes well less than $1/hour. Expeditors aren't getting questions either. I went from somewhere between 500 - 600 on a weeknight before the slow down to only about 40 - 100 a weeknight.

I can't even hit $100 this month to get paid on the 15th.

When I have been logged on it has been pretty much b2b, I prob average about $4-$5 an hour.
I have also typed in an answer in my own words in the past because i needed to use the " due to a system error we can't see your history " choice, and it wasn't there so I typed it in.
I think the answer box is previously asked questions. I was looking on the chacha forums, because today is the first time I have seen the box with the answers.

And about half of them are popping up with a box of preformed answers to choose from, so they aren't being sent on to guides. It doesn't take me any longer, but I think it stinks that it's preformed and taking away from the guides

I am usually on mid to late morning.......I seem to get a lot of questions that seem like they are coming from students at that time of day.

Wow. I had no idea. That's interesting. It would help explain some of what has been going on for us guides.
Between fewer questions coming in to begin with and then half of those having preformed answers for the Exp to choose from, I do see how that could make a difference in our traffic.

But I have to ask, how do you do it for 12 hours??? Seriously, I want to know. Do you have kids? I wish I could spend more time doing ChaCha, but once the kids gets home (I have 4) it's impossible.

lol,well, i only have one child-DD11, and she's in school all day, then has a couple hours of homework each day. we eat supper together, she takes a shower and usually, unless i'm behind, like today, we watch a little tv or a movie. thankfully, she understands this isn't permanent and i'm only working like this until our disney trip is paid off.

I need to get 100 q's between today and tomorrow to make my 200 for the week. I wouldn't mind the whole PAQ thing if traffic was what it was a month ago. I was hoping to make the car payment for the month off ChaCha. That's $100 away or 500 questions to go. Something tells me I'm not going to make it.

No harsh words meant at all.

If you will reread my post, I said that ChaCha didn't allow these guides to pass and roped them into a lower paying job, then turned the tables on them and is now making them answer questions that they would have been paid .20 cents for to start with.

Now ChaCha is adding more work to their day and apparently not increasing their pay, while taking the guide's questions away from them to automate them.

Also, the comment about guides who passed and changed jobs was a reference to the fact that they had a choice and knew what they were getting into or leaving behind, where as the newly hired ex. had no clue that they were going to be working for 1/4 the pay of the guides for almost the same work.

I really think the tests were altered because my DH has three degrees, yes he's a permanent student and has signed up for more classes. Gotta love him- he's already got his doctorate and is moving on, however, he couldn't pass the first test?

I also stated that I was considering changing jobs to be an ex.

I'm sorry if you didn't understand the previous post, no offense was meant.

Thank you for understanding that I wasn't taking a jab at the exs. You just proved my observation about the test being altered as you are another person who should have been able to pass.
