the pay period (the time frame to make top guide) is sunday-saturday (midnight). however, the top guides aren't announced until the following thursday.

So I just started this Sunday. So I wouldn't find out anything until next Thursday? (Not that I think I will make top guide. I just want to figure out how it works.)

I made top guide this week! I am so relieved b/c I actually had a few small problems that worried me! The list isn't up yet but the pay is - so if you are making 20 cents now you made top guide - if you are getting 10 cents - you aren't a top guide this week.

I've been sweating it all week.

Last week I was soooo busy, that I barely got in my 200 searches and I knew that at 95% that meant I could "mess up" 10 searches.

Thankfully, I did make top guide again! 3rd week at ChaCha and 3rd week as top guide! Now, if I can pull it off just 3 more times then I won't get a pay cut while we are in Disney!

I don't think they're doing the emails anymore! I didn't get one last week & made it....haven't gotten one this week yet either.

On the bright side, they finally responded to my QC complaint last week about it being wrong...they removed it from my record. (Whatever that means.) Only took 8 days! LOL

Well, I made it this week! That's two in a row. I'm not doing anything different then I did when I didn't make it so

By the way, apparently there was a first list a few mins. ago that was incorrect and now the correct list has been reposted, just now, that has less guide names then previously listed- so double check to make sure you are really on the correct list! I did a search and found out that I am making .20 so I know I'm safe this week. I hate Thursdays, I feel like I'm back in school waiting on a graded assignment .

I know this is old news..lol..But when searching for Top Guide just do as a previous post says put in CtRL + f and then search for your name. It would take a lot less time than looking through the whole list. Just thought I would share this little idea. Have a good weekend all!

I made it too, surprisingly! I had some queries that were impossible to answer, plus a few I had to abort. I honestly didn't believe I would make it this time around.

I am so bummed because we were at Disney last week, so I didn't get enough searches in for the week and I have to spend a week making only .10! Sucks because I have always made Top Guide and I get punished for going on vacation.

When you make top guide, do you get paid .20 for the week that you made top guide (the one already finished) or do you get paid .20 for the week in progress?

In the future that won't be a problem as long as you make it the 3 weeks prior. Did you contact them and ask if they might let you have it since you had it the three weeks prior?

I am so confused with this top guide stuff. I just started Sunday, and I've done over 200 searches. I know it has something to do with your accuracy too...when would I be eligible to make top guide? Should I do another 200 searches now? I guess I'm confused about what week they are looking at. I also find it distressing that there is no way to check your quality as you go...meaning it stinks to wait a week to "possibly" get feedback.

The week goes Sunday to Saturday....On Thursday they announce top guides from the week before. So since you started this past Sunday, they check accuracy this coming M-W and you'll be eligible for this coming Thursdays Top Guide list. So, you're good if you have 200 searches since Sunday...then if you have 95% accuracy, you'll be top guide. You don't have to do more if you don't want to. Then Sunday starts the new week, so you need 200 more before next Sat night. It's pretty confusing...I'm just starting to figure it out. There's a cartoon that pretty much summed it up.
