OT-CDN Diser's Worst Room in the House

Hello All ~ Keeping with my previous post on HATING TO CLEAN...I thought it fun for us to discribe our least favourite room in our homes. I'll start....

UPSTAIRS BATHROOM! My home is nearly 30 years old and has a lot of it's original tiles, cupboards and surfaces. We haven't gotten around to updating a lot of things in our home....we've been here 20 years....heeheehee. Disney trips were more important than removing the kelly green faux marble in the bathroom. My least favourite room in my home is my upstairs bathroom. Other than painting a couple of times and re-tiling the floor, we haven't changed a thing. The pink toilet matches the pink sink and tub. However, the pink tub doesn't match the Victorian greyist-green tile design, circa 1977, that lining the tub and shower walls. With everything being pink, I decided to paint the walls in the early 90's. I wanted to hide the pink, so I took left over blue, green and red paint and sponge painted the walls and ceiling to look like you were standing inside a fish aquarium. I painted seaweed, fish and an anchor on the walls and ceiling and tiled the floor a sand colour....I must say....you didn't notice the pink toilet much after that. After living in a fish bowl [heeheehee] for a few years, we re-painted...but what colour to use? I thought, hey, if I cant beat 'em....join them! So I painted the entire bathroom PINK! I bought the most expensive bathroom paint I could get....but soon after I noticed mildrew on the ceiling. I scrubed an still it came back....and multipled. It's a fight I'm losing. I can't keep up with the scrubing! The pink sink sits in a faux marble kelly green counter on top of dark 1970's style cupboards. Not a pretty picture is it? So with the money I was saving for a Cmas Disney trip that isn't happening, I offered to pay for a whole new bathroom! DH is embarassed to let a contractor in the room. I want to re-paint, get a new fan, new toilet, sink and vanity, ceramic tiles on the floor and the BEST of all....a whirlpool tub and new shower. We should take bets on when that will actually happen!

This is easy for me to answer ... The room I am in right now. It is awful! We have three puter's (yes you heard me right THREE) so each one has it's own clutter around it. You know papers, discs, books, etxra mice pads & oh of course my desk has the printer we use now. The old printer is still here We should just get rid of it. Piles & piles of paper for various jobs. Two filling cabinets (one for household stuff and one for hubby's work papers) The shreader sits beneath my feet so there is always a bunch of stuff waiting to be eaten! Oh the WORSE part of the entire room is the fact that this is the dog's "bedroom" so there is her kennel/cage/bed area (you know those airplane carrier type thingees) and her water & food dishes. And Tilly is a Border Collie. I swear we could make a new dog every week from the hair that is on the floor. And since her fur is both white & black it doesn't matter what colour clothes you wear, it shows up
Oops forgot to mention we have THREE separate garbage cans. Our city makes us put paper products in blue see-thru bags. Compost stuff (kleenex, food products etc) in green see-thru bags. STUFF that doesn't fit these categories like plasic wrap from popsicles, wrapping from CDs (the list for this goes goes on & on) for this one goes in CLEAR see-thru bags.
