I would like to go to DHS on Friday December 12th and would love to see the Osbourne Lights! (It will be our first time!) Are the dates posted for this somewhere? I am afraid of a private party cancelling the show. (I read this happened to someone on an old thread). Touring Plans.com shows it for that date when I put it in a holiday plan, but I would like to confirm there is no private party that night.

The Osborne Lights should be starting November 7. The calendar at easywdw.com shows DHS closing at 8 on December 12, and I can't recall ever having heard of a park shortening its hours after they've been posted, so I see no reason to think that you would have to worry about a private party that night. (Also, DHS is closing at 4 on November 20, so I would assume that's when a private party is taking place.)

FIRST TIME for us at WDW during the Holiday Season!:santa: And childless, first time as youngest DS is "off to college"! :thumbsup2

Have heard such AWESOME things about the Osborne Lights!
We are combining our HS day with Fantasmic Lunch Package at Hollywood Brown Derby! YUM!:thumbsup2

SO EXCITED to see Fantasmic Show at 6:30 and Osborne Lights!!!:thumbsup2:dance3:

Hope that you ENJOY too!

First time for us too! We'll be there December 18th to see the display....can't wait!

This is for a CM awared ceremony which takes place around this date annually. To my knowledge, it's the only regularly occuring private party closure during the holiday season. So I woudln't worry about it.

Don't they always close DHS one night early during Pop Warner for a private party for the participants?

Answering my own question: historically it is on Wednesday night [last year 12/11/13] and the park closes at 6:00 p.m.

Does anyone know what the last night is for the lights? We are going the week after New Years and are hoping to see the show! Thanks!

That's correct, but do they turn the Osborne Lights on this night? Wasn't sure about that. I know the 4pm closing in November, they do NOT turn the lights on. DHS normally closes at 8pm that time of year, so a 6pm closing isn't too far off.

I just did a little bit googling and they usually turn them on around 6:00 p.m. every night, so that's a very good question . . . and I don't have the answer, darn it. :goodvibes I guess as long as the OP doesn't go there on December 10th this year she shouldn't have any problems. :thumbsup2

I received the possible date of Dec 10th as the Pop Warner private party at DHS, which closes early that day, according to an email response I received from Touring Plans.
