ORNAMENT EXCHANGE * Any Preferences?

Wow, Mary Jo, this is a great idea. It is a big undertaking to get all the info together and out, having this thread may help a few people.

There are still a lot of people who haven't picked up their PM with the name. So I am using this as a shameless bump!

I think that everyone will enjoy their gifts, I am really glad that I was able to take it on, and keep up the tradition.

Well then, lets bump it again. :hyper:
Pick up your pm's people. :teeth:

I am so glad to see this thread. Our tree is VERY SAD!! This will be our 4th Christmas and so far all we have is some glass balls, an ornament from our first Christmas together and one for DS's first Christmas. I would love anything.

I am so excited to go buy the ornament for my person! Thanks so much for setting this all up!

Christy

like many have said, our tree holds memories of so many special people and and places in our lives!!! Our tree is mainly decorated in gold, silver and plum, but every ornament is put somewhere on the tree. One of my favorite ornaments is a Cinderella Carriage that I got from Bombay. It is not Disney...but it is VERY Disney if you know what I mean. I love it!!! Well, now I am so in the mood to go out and ornament shop....especially since my exchangee has posted on this thread. Off for some retail therapy!!!!! Whoo Hoo!!
:hyper:

I love this exchange although this year will have a touch of saddnes to it as last year I was given Beverly Lyns name. She sent me the sweetest thankyou note.
As for my tree its a memory tree (another way to say hodgepodge I guess ;) ) I do love angels and disney though!

My main is a hodge podge of ornaments, so what ever is great with me! Boots likes everything!!!!

This is my first year with my own Christmas tree, so we don't have too many ornaments yet, so anything will be great! Of course I love anything Disney!! This is my first exchange and I'm so excited to be a part of it!

Our tree is made up of alot of handmade kid ornaments. We also add some every year. I LOVE Mickey Mouse and Bears (not necessarly Pooh) but would absolutely love anything!! I am very excited to be participating in my very first exchange!

And had a wonderful time doing so!! Even with my *hints* I still had such a hard time finding jsut the right thing. I hope I did OK....Just a few more items to make my package complete and it will be off not too terribly far away!!!!!:wave2:

I love ornaments but I don't use color on my tree. I prefer metallics, silver or gold, or just white.

Still waiting & hoping my person posts on here..:(

Yeah! My person posted on this thread, so I thought I would too.
DH and I had our first married Christmas last year. The only ornaments on our tree were memory ones:

(1) My DG-ma bought us an ornament every year since we were born, and you get to take them "home" when you have your first married Christmas
(2) When we first started dating, DH and I started buying each other an ornament every year-- his idea, actually, so that's fun.
(3) travel ornaments (lots of disney ones there!)
(4) when we got married, each of my bridesmaids gave me an ornament, and I gave each of them one

Can you tell I'm into ornaments with special memories? Whatever my DISpal send will be a brand new special memory!! Yeah!

(We do have two puppies who knocked the tree over twice last year, so um, highly fragile is one type of ornament we don't usually have) ;)

Thank you to Liz for pointing me toward this thread! I hadn't seen it or I would have already posted on it. (and I would have seen my ornamentee's preference)

Our tree was always a huge, real one when we still had kids at home. It was always such a mixture of ornaments from hallmarks to antiques. Now that DH and I are emptynesters, I tend to theme our tree each year.:bounce:

This years theme is Disney!::MickeyMo ::MinnieMo My favorite characters are Ariel and Tinkerbell. But any Disney ornament is great. No matter what ornament I receive from a fellow DISer, whether it's Disney or not......it will have a place of honor on our tree! This is the greatest exchange!:Pinkbounc

My tree has no theme. Its filled with things my 2 DDs have made and ornaments given as gifts. I love snowmen and anything Disney. No matter what I get in this exchange my whole family will enjoy it for years to come:D

Hiya

What a great thread!

I will post for my Mum when I've asked her but for me I would have to say that this is only the second year DBF and I will have been living together and therefore had our own tree.

The main 'theme' is red and gold colours but anything is nice! We have quite a few new ornaments this year - particularly Disney ones which I picked up in WDW in July so we are looking forward to getting those on.... I also got some in Romania and last year in California/Arizona/Nevada which represent the State so something regional would be great!

I'll love anything basically, just looking forward to sending, receiving and of course... decorating the tree!!!

Cya,
Gaspode
