DVC Coffee Snob Thread (non snobs welcome too)

Good morning from BLT! Contemporary is too far to ask my husband to go get me coffee. It’s 5:45 am. They may not even be open. So I give you Joffreys bean water. 6 cups water to 1 packet is not the ratio for me, tastes like water that some coffee got into not coffee. Round 2 tomorrow! Maybe 2 packets for 8 cups?

So jealous would love to be there right now.

Back during COVID I would buy locally roasted beans, grind them fresh, and brew in a french press. I still have all that equipment, but nowadays I'm too busy for all that so I just use Kirkland breakfast blend k-cups. I've thought about bringing the french press out from above the fridge again lately. In my mind it makes the best coffee you can get as long as you drink it quickly.

One little-known fact is that Starbucks will brew you a french press for your cup of coffee upon request. I used to like their blonde roast a lot. Most of their other varieties are far too dark for me.

My recipe when I have to brew in the room is two packets of coffee and about half a pot of water. It's the only way I can get it to taste like coffee.

We discovered this about 5 years and it's a staple in our suitcases now. Not a fan of their vanilla flavor though. We have a reverse osmosis water system at home so it's also a must we buy filtered water for our Florida DVC trips. I've never managed to brew Joffrey's coffee in a way that tastes good. I might try the above tip to use two packets next time.

One of my biggest regrets from our last Aulani trip was not bringing home more coffee. Won't be a mistake I'll make again!

Back to the Nepresso thing - just FYI, they are currently selling Double Espresso pods on the website of Hawaii Kona. I've not seen them sell Kona before, but Nespresso generally uses high-quality, fair market coffee, so I'm guessing it's the real thing. Just ordered some. I'm kinda excited for it.
I saw that, got an email. Might have to order some. Let us know how it is!

I know not really the topic of the thread, but just FWIW, Contemporary Grounds actually opens crazy early relative to most WDW places - 5:30am.

Perfect! I have found no other coffee for myself here at MK, so I may try this tomorrow before we head out. Since we are dairy free it’s so much harder. On my way to Tomorrowland to get my fix from the coffee place there.
