Orlando spring break-same time we are coming!!!!

Help!! I just found out that Orlando and Tamp's spring breaks are the same time we were planning to come to USO,IOA,DC,SW and WnW. We are staying on-site which will help with FOTL. Do most people in Orlando go to Universal on spring break or do they get the heck out of there? I am seriously thinking about waiting until school gets out!! It is the week of March 22-26. Please give me any tips or suggestions. I'd rather go when it is less crowded!!!

You have nothing to worry about if you are staying on site. FOTL is priceless and it will help you maximize your day.

It will be crowded. Yes, on-site people have the magic keys, but the walkways are still packed. It becomes a pain to dodge everyone. Personally, I wouldn't come that week. If you do, then arrive to the park early each day, go back to your hotel room from 1pm-4pm, rest, swim, then come back in the evening when the tired leave.

Spring break for Osceola County (Kissimmee) and Hillsborough County (Tampa) are March 22-26.

But Spring break for Orange County (Orlando) is March 15-19.

Ouch.

Your FOTL will help greatly, but you will still see crowds, and your express wait may be more than 15 minutes for some attractions.

And yes, lots of people, especially AP holders, like to go during Spring Break, especially since Mardi Gras will be going on.

Hi, we're trying to go down for March as well, but hate crowds, and always try to go when the kids are in school since this seems to cut down on crowds quite a bit. I'm thinking that March may be a bad month to do then? Would April be any better?

Jodie!! If you go during either of those months....you need to make sure you go on at least a Friday or Saturday or something so I can meet you!! I can miss a day of school though, but wouldn't dare in the middle of the week (went to Universal on a Sunday last year...park stayed open late...had to stay home the next day because I was so overtired I was SICK! YUCK!!!). Just let me know when you are going! I think my Spring Break is the same time as Easter (therefore we don't get our mini-break for Easter...what a rip-off!!)...whenever that is...

When is Easter next year? We need to use the balance of our N/R airfare tickets by May 31 (BTW - what a rip off. The tickets were $189 R/T on Delta, and they charged me $100 each to change them. I pleaded my case, but they didn't care. Now, I only have an $89 credit per ticket.)

Anyway, my point is, I would like to head down in March or April since it'll be a bit warm by then. But, I think we'd like to avoid the spring break crowd if we could. Any ideas?

We're also headed down for HHN in Oct 2004 as well.

Easter is April 11 and some friends of ours went spring break when Easter was on Sunday and they said the crowds were awful!! I think we have decided to go ahead and go in March and just take a break mid-day at the pool and go back at night.
