HI

I am never sure what to do. I am travelling with my sister and nephew to Orlando and we're not sure if we should all go to an immigration desk together or two seperate desks. We live in different houses so both need to fill out forms.

Many thanks

As far as immigration is concerned, you go through separately - basically, your sister and nephew will go through together as one party and then you go through separate. That is what we did when we went in February and were travelling with friends.

We have taken my Mother in law a couple of times and when my Mum was alive we took both Mums a couple of times. All gone thru together never a problem. If you get an awkward officer they will tell you seperate but 4 times we have been OK together.

It would be quicker to go to seperate ones as you can get 2 people done at once then.

According to US customs you only need one form per family unit, for immediate family.

Does a nephew count as immediate family, if not then strictly speaking it should be 2 separate trips for customs.

Your home address isn't relevant as its not entered on the form.

I don't think there is a restriction on the immigration, they call the party over do they not as you have all got your own waiver form and passport.
i have gone through immigration with colleagues in the past with no problems, obviously with our own customs form as well.
