DH and I are taking our 3 girls to Orlando this summer (2 teens, one 9 year old). We're thinking of doing one day at WDW and buying 5 day Flex tickets. We'll be in Orlando for about 10 days.

Any experience with the Flex ticket? Or should we look at another option?

Thanks for your input

The Flexi ticket comes as either a 4 park or 5 park option, both of which last 14 days from the first time you use them. The 4 parks are Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure, Sea World and Wet'n'Wild. The 5 Park option adds Busch Gardens, which is about an hour south of Orlando in Tampa. I've used the 5 park option and at the time it was excellent value from here in the UK.

You say you are only going to WDW for 1 day? You know it covers 75 square miles and includes 4 major theme parks, plus 2 water parks, plus Down Town Disney shopping and restaurant complex, plus Disney Quest, right?

Yeah, us Brits love 'em! They offer fantastic value for money.

And as said by previous poster, they are 4/5 PARK, not 4/5 DAY tickets over 14 day period. I must confess, I made that mistake a few years ago, thinking I only had 5 day pass.. D'oh!

They are great value if you plan on going to just Sea World and Universal, IMHO.

Thank you for your replies. This will be our first family trip to Orlando. Our three girls have been to WDW on different occasions but never together. I've been twice and DH has never been to Orlando before. At the moment, our plan is to spend one day at Magic Kingdom for the benefit of our nine year old and DH. DH is the one pushing for the 5 park Flex ticket + one day of Disney. I think we should do 2 Disney days (MK & Epcot) and the 5 park ticket, maybe 4 park Flex tickets as a compromise

We're travelling from Barbados - so the cost of this trip is going to quite steep from the airfare alone. So we're trying to do a juggling act to squeeze as much as we can without having to declare bankruptcy when we return home!

What dates will you be going to the parks? If its outside of jun30-jul6 then there is a $120 annual pass to Universal which would work out cheaper, when combined with the $85 ticket for Busch&Seaworld, than buying the 5 park Flex Ticket at $239. It mean missing out on Wet n Wild but if thats not a problem for you then this option is cheaper.

Thanks for the tip re: Universal annual pass. We'll be there July 8 - 18.

Does the Annual Pass include Islands of Adventure?

Youngest DD lives for the water - I don't see how I could convince her that we're skipping out Wet N Wild! I'd have to find her some other water activity or she might suffer from withdrawal symptoms!! LOL!

Yeah it does include IOA but if you would miss out on wet n wild then probably a flex ticket would be the better option for you

Does anyone know if we can use my SIL's flex tickets the last 7 days of her 14? They are only going to be there a weeke and we are going to be there the next week.

Thanks!
