I only know a few of the restaurants that have coupons in the Orlando Entertainment Book - most I've never heard of! Can anyone recommend some of the coupons to use? We aren't really looking for fast food - good Chinese, or steak houses maybe? Or restaurants with good salad bars? I'm putting together my coupon folder for our April trip.

Thanks!

A lot of those coupons are for places that are quite a poke from WDW. how far are you willing to drive?

I'll look through the book tonight and give you some suggestions.

Anywhere between Lake Buena Vista and Kissimmee works (we'll be at Cypress Pointe with a car), or anywhere on the way to the Florida Mall or Mall at Millennia. Also, we plan to go to the Whole Foods in Winter Park, so anywhere between Winter Park and LBV (near I-4) could work for a meal too. Oh, and we want to do Sunday Brunch with a family that lives in Altamonte Springs - we thought it might be fair to pick a place somewhere between our locations, so that neither one of us has to drive too far! But I'm not sure where some of the better places (restaurant wise and general area wise) would be that might be in the EB.

I'll also look through the ones that seemed interesting and list them later, and maybe you can tell me what you know of them?

I just got the Orlando book too so looking for advice, so far the only ones I recognize are Sonic Drives inn and Omaha steak house!

Why are you going all the way to Whole Foods? A similar store is a lot closer--Fresh market.

I guess because I know Whole Foods and not Fresh Market! Are they very similar? My mom wants to look for organic food and health food items. When I did a search of the Orlando area I didn't get the impression that Fresh market was as big, so we figured we'd go to Whole Foods. But if you know first hand that Fresh is just as good and closer, then we'd certainly be happy to go there!

Fresh isn't quite as large as Whole Foods, but has a similar product line, and is a full 20 miles closer to Cypress Point. I prefer the produce at Fresh Market.

Could someone with the Orlando book please tell me if the Outback restaurant (in one of the Downtown Disney hotels - not the chain restaurant) is still included as one of the Buy-One-Get-One-Free dining offers where they punch a number on the actual card? If so, what number is it? We've gone there and used our card for the discount before and have really liked the restaurant. Thanks!

Yup, still offered! It's #4 on the card, and it's also on my list to use!

Thanks for checking! :goodvibes When we went for our Anniversary trip 2 years ago, we even bought an extra Ent. book just so we could go there twice. We really enjoyed it! It's great that you can user your Entertainment card from a different city - you don't have to have the Orlando book for that one because they just punch the card.

Can someone tell me what the number correspond to our how I can find out where the correspond to? I have a canadian card so I want to use it in Orland is that possible?

I have the card too and would like to use it in Orlando.
Can someone post some of the restaurants on the fine dining (and the numbers) that are along the I4 corridor between Universal and the main hwy in Kissimmee (can't recall exact number). I know you can use the card in other areas, but you need to know the names or the restaurants.

this is from my book..the Rep. Svgs after it means you can go to www.entertainment.com to print an additional 20% discount . Registration is required. Most offers are up to 20% off (max. discount $25.) and can be used one time per month.
I'm thinking that this means, you can use the card for the BOGO, and then print off an additional 20% discount to be used at a different visit. :confused3 I'm not sure how they would check to see if you had already been there that month. It says see web site for details.
If you need more info about any of these let me know....
I buy the Orlando book and the Ft. Worth book....and get lots of use out of both. Barb

So do I need the coupon too or can I just flash my card and get the # on the back crossed out?

I'll be buying the Orlando book before I go down, but can you use the card from another state's book to get the discounts (where the card has to be punched/marked out) for Orlando?

Yes, this is exactly what we've done before. The actual Entertainment card looks the same in all the books. The #'s just correspond to different restaurants in each city, but there's not way to tell that a card came from a book for a specific city. At least this is what we did a few years ago with no problem, and looking at the current card, I see no reason why it would still not work.

You only need the card....(from the entertainment book)....I believe that once the card is marked out or punched and if you wanted to go to the restaurant another time - (if that particular restaurant had a "repeat savings" tag on the page) you could print out the coupon and it would be 20% off your bill next time.
I have used the card successfully in other cities. Both my cards look the very same. Barb

searched around, but couldn't find corresponding numbers for restaurants in other cities. I was able to find the names...but not the numbers. Maybe someone else has researched it further. Barb
