In the past I´ve booked with Dollar, having found their all inclusive rates the best.

Wondering if anyones recent experience has been different ?

Alamo have been suggested here, and I saw one rather old post suggesting a substantial was available over on airport rental offices reduction if using Payless´s off airport location for example. However I wasnt impressed that their website was unable to quote me for a 3 week rental.

Any other suggestions ??

We were disappointed with Alamo last year - they used to be fine but I don't think they are as good as they used to be - I'd sooner go with Dollar ...... we have recently visited Canada and found National to be very good too.
Renting once you've arrived in Orlando is more expensive than booking it before you go.
Have you checked out www.autosabroad.com and I am sure there are other companies that people can recommend for competitive prices.

Another vote for choiceair. Just booked fullsize with all insurances £336/2weeks. also had a cheap quote from Sunchase.

I've also been very happy with ChoiceAir and there's anotheone floridacarhire? I think it is, that gets good reviews too.

Well, good news - with your help folks, I just booked a car thru Choicecars.co.uk for our 22 days in Florida, for 70 quid less than my Avis reservation , and with a free upgrade from a compact to an intermediate car !! Thats my kinda deal !

Thanks very much to you all !! :teeth:

B,

Would you mind posting how much you paid with choiceair as we too are going for that length of time in November.

Hi Daftman,

The total for 22 days, for a 4 door intermediate size car (equivalent to say a Ford Mondeo), is 458 pound, includind LDW, SLI and all relevant local taxes. The only possible extra would be PAI which I am assured we dont need if we have travel insurance.

The car will actually be hired thru Hertz according to Choiceair´s rep I spoke to today.

The quote from Avis for a compact 4 door was 528 pounds, which I already thought was pretty good, so the Choiceair rate seems excellent to me !.

Hope this helps. ! :teeth:

B,

Thanks for the reply,I paid £460 with holiday autos so think I might aswell stick with them, mind you this was after they initially quoted me £615.I just used their price match guarantee and rang them 2 or 3 times before I got a reasonable price.

Thanks again.

Regards

Sean. :p
