dropping off someone at the airport would like to go as far as I can with them.

can I?

also after dropping them off can I go to meet other that will be arriving

You can go anywhere in the main building except through the security gates at each end.

So you would leave your first party off when they line up to go through security, They would take the tram to the gate area by themselves.

You would then meet the other party when they exit security at the same end or at the opposite end after they get off the tram.

Orlando is pretty much like any other airport. Anyone can go inside the terminal up to the security screening area. Only ticketed passengers can go through security and continue to the gates.

If you are waiting for someone to arrive you can stay in the terminal outside security and wait for them. You'll need to look at the monitors to find out which gate which would tell you which security area to be waiting at.

There are shops and restaurants outside security if you have time to kill while waiting.
