corlando springs resort (our on site hotel)
A few close Walmart's or other large super marks

thank you for the help.

It's a uk Tom Tom with the North American maps in it that's all I know
The web page has instructions for loading the POI on a Tom Tom.

I don't know whether there's anything different about a UK model.

It works fine on the UK models; I've gotten feedback from UK users that it worked well.

Edit: And just to be clear, I created the GPS files on MouseSavers. Most of the stuff on your list is in the MouseSavers file. Navigating by address works well outside WDW property and for some areas on property, but not so well for other destinations. The main parks, for example, have no address.

once on property its best just to follow the signs. if you use gps it may try to take you through backstage areas. also be careful googling address for the parks, you need the parking lot entrance booths not the park. i have seen coordinates given for the mk that put you in the middle of main street.

That works pretty well for navigating to the main parks, but not so well for getting to secondary locations like hotels and water parks. If you're trying to get to Saratoga Springs, for example, you need to know that it's in the Downtown Disney area, and follow the signs there, then start looking for signs leading you to the hotel. And the routing the signs use is not necessarily the easiest or most efficient.

I have driven all over WDW following GPS directions, using both a Garmin and a TomTom. At no point was I ever directed down a restricted road when using my own POI. You might be directed down a road that is in some sense "backstage," but it will be a public road that you are allowed to drive on. There are lots of roads around WDW that are mostly used by cast members and delivery trucks, but some of them can provide significant shortcuts.

Also, there are no physical addresses for the main parks, so you can't route to them using an address. They have a mailing address, but it's to an office building back behind the Magic Kingdom, which is the main mail center. If you use the points built into the GPS, they might be OK or they might try to route you into the middle of the park. To be fair, getting to the main parks is not a big issue because the main parks are the only things that there are always signs for throughout the park. No matter where you are, if you get on a main road you will start to see signs for MK, DHS, Epcot, and AK. I like to think, though, that my POI are easier to use. :)

Adding POI to your GPS is quick and easy, and I personally drove all over WDW verifying every point. They will route you exactly to the entrance driveway for each location.

Just FYI, of your list here's what's in the MouseSavers POI:

Magic Kingdom
Animal Kingdom
EPCOT
Hollywood studio
Blizzard Beach
Typhoon Lagoon
Sea World
Bush Gardens
Universal parks
Discovery Cove
Sanford Airport

All of these are listed.

corlando springs resort (our on site hotel)

Your hotel isn't in there, but I'm sure you can enter the address and it will work - stuff outside WDW works fine with addresses.

A few close Walmart's or other large super marks

All the supermarkets near WDW are listed. The nearest Wal-Mart wasn't near enough, and since I was developing the list for MouseSavers, I focused on things recommended by MouseSavers. There is a Costco listed, but it's not super close.

I recommend Publix; it has the best quality and it's a pleasure to shop in. Its only flaw is that it's not open 24 hours.

A couple of shopping malls

A few malls that are mentioned on MouseSavers are listed. They're the ones that have an outlet store that carries Disney merchandise, but they're all decent sized malls with other stores. Again, if there's a specific store you want to find, searching the listings in the GPS should work.

and anything else you think may be useful

There are locations of all the Walgreens drugstores (like Boots) near WDW, locations of every nearby hospital and urgent care facility, a handful of restaurants that MouseSavers recommends, some offsite shows like the Pirates Dinner Theater and Medieval Times, nearby auto rental locations, and a bunch of other miscellaneous locations.

thank you for all the help guys i check the link out once i get the tom tom as i am borrowing it off a friend
