I have heard people say before to never order fish on a Monday. I was so excited to book the trip that I really didn't think about this until after I booked my ressie for Fulton's Crab House  . Does anyone have any horror stories, or would you say the fish throughout the week stays fresh in WDW restaurants?

I'd imagine with the amount of people they feed that disney get shipments of fish more often then once a week like at small resteraunts. i'm sure that the fish will be as fresh as if you ate it on tuesday.

I guess most places get their fish on Tues. and Thurs. So when Monday comes around its not fresh at all. I've read 2 books recently one by Mike Greenburg and one by Anthony Bourdain. Mike ate it on a Sunday night and was taken to a hospital and Bourdain is a chef, and he said he'll never order it on Mondays unless he knows the chef personally.

For what it's worth we ate at Flying Fish on a Monday evening last May and everything was quite good. Better restaurants typically get their seafood fresh on a daily basis, especially on the coast.

With the amount of guests being fed at WDW I have a hard time believing at their signature restaurants, especially, that the fish wouldn't be fresh. We encountered this very problem at Artist Point one night when we wanted to order the Copper River salmon and it was unavailable for the evening because they weren't able to obtain any that day.

Now, since Fulton's isn't a signature restaurant maybe you have more reason to be concerned ... I don't know since we've never eaten there. But I don't really think it's anything to worry about.

I read Tony Bourdain's book several years ago (love him!) But I really think he was referring to city restaurants and not the ones at resorts.

Anyplace as big as WDW has access to seafood many more times a week than other places. And as the previous poster said, if it's not fresh they won't serve it. I would not worry.

Disney gets Seafood deliveries EVERY day except Sunday (vendor is closed that day)
