around halloween the disney store had a promo for like 25% off your entire order, plus free personalization on all the personalize-able items. i bought all the toys for my nephew's and DF's goddaughter then, including a personalized mickey onesie for my nephew because he's coming on our trip in february. i got an email two weeks later saying due to the increase demand for personalizations, my order would take longer than expected. i emailed guest services and said it was unacceptable, if they couldn't meet the increased demand caused by hosting a sale, they shouldn't be having a sale. so they shipped out everything else but the onesie. a month and a half later now and i still don't have it.
threecrazykids said:I have had a horrible time with Kohl's. I placed my first order on the day before Thanksgiving, and even though the order status shows shipped it never left their warehouse. I called Fed Ex, verified with them and they said it was never requested for pick up, just the label requested.
So...back and forth with customer service at least 3 times and they were "certain" it would be here LAST Monday or Tuesday...still nothing. They (Kohl's) tried to tell me that Fed Ex wasn't updating their tracking info on their website. I told her I talked to Fed Ex and they assured me that it hadn't been in the hands of a Fed Ex handler, period.
SO...in her best customer service wonder...she decides it would be best for me to place a second order "just in case". She was going to change my first order to a "mis-ship" and credit me back the charges and then re-order it...but she emphasized over and over that there was no doubt in her mind I would get the items from my first order.
Upon trying to re-order, of course only the socks were available (which was NOT what I was concerned about - but she did order a comparable Doc McStuffins item for my niece).
The very next day I get an "updated shipping info" from Kohls from the first order - saying there was an additional tracking #. I'm thinking "yeah - it's on it's way".NO.
And that very same day one pair of yoga shorts from the original order came and nothing else. The tracking # matched the new one they gave me literally hours before.
I have called, sent an email with NO reply whatsoever, and my original order STILL hasn't been credited.
All I wanted was for them to fess up and admit that the remaining items in the first order were NOT shipped on that original tracking as stated on my order status email and credit me. The tracking # STILL shows San Bernadino, CA and hasn't changed since the very first day.
I am so peeved right now. I haven't gotten a gift certificate offer or anything. I'll know better next year.I just went out and purchased replacement items at this point. If I have to take things back (if I get them) I will but I shouldn't HAVE to.
The thing that has me so mad at Macy's is I just wanted them to admit they messed up and didn't process the order. If they had processed the order within the time frame the pot on their website, it would has still been instock and their would have been no problem. Just admit you "lost" the order until I called to check on it. I didn't want some irritating lecture about how they were having a sale.
My Kohls stuff shipped yesterday. I think that's the only Internet order I'm waiting for.
I have done 100% of my Christmas shopping at Amazon. My kids are older, so are getting a kick out of the UPS truck arriving on a daily basis. They are eyeing the boxes trying to figure out what is in them, trying to guess if it is one thing in the box or 3. It has become a fun holiday traditionThey were really bummed when they realized the two xbox 1's were for the neighbors.
I have put in about 30 orders and they have all arrived within the 2 day Prime delivery or earlier.
Except......
for the 70" TV.
Like you, that was delayed by a couple of days. However we were having weather, so it was stuck in Arizona (we are in Colorado.) I fully understand the weather delay
What bothered me is that an adult was required to be there for delivery. Our delivery window was from 9-12 one morning. My husband worked from home during that time.
At 10:30 the shipping company (Pilot) called to reschedule the shipment. Ummm...they knew the TV was not there when you loaded the truck the night before. They should have called or e-mailed and said there was a weather delay. Then DH would not have stayed home.
They did deliver it during the next delivery window two days later.
However, I have to take part of the blame. I did check the tracking information that previous night and did see it was still in Arizona. I could also have picked up the phone to confirm or reschedule delivery.
If they ship you out another TV, it will be the same model as you ordered.
Edited to add:
Is there an Amazon Lightning Deal addiction program? I downloaded the app on my phone and dang if every time I look at it, there is something listed that is on one of my family's lists. At least with Lightning Deals, the price is good or better than many of the other places I have looked locally - and bonus, no tax. Although that may end next year. Our little town is looking at requiring us to declare online items to pay the sales tax.
I went through this exact thing too. Ordered on 11/3, personalized items. Got the same email. My items (fleece throws) finally arrived just a couple days ago. I never received a shipping notice, the box just appeared. Hang in there! Hopefully yours are on the way!
