Ordering online and order fulfillment

The only thing I am still waiting for is something from Macy's. Tracking shows it was scanned at a facility fairly close to me, so I expect it later this week.

My dad sent something to DD14, and I am not sure it has arrived yet. I need to go through the big pile hidden in my room to see if I might have missed it.

There was one vendor who said my credit card was declined several times so he wanted a money order. I called the credit card company and there was some issue with the mailing / shipping address, so it kept kicking it back. I was nervous about sending the money order, but I really wanted this item, so I sent it. He got it and mailed the item. I was so relieved becuase it is what DD13 really wanted this year.

Knock on wood I have been pretty lucky this year.

Hope everyone gets their stuff on time. :goodvibes

I ordered Christmas ornaments from The Disney Store last week and they still haven't shipped, so I might have a plain tree this year. :headache:

Kohls and Macys. The Macy's order has taken so long that the pending charge isn't listed on my card anymore. The
money is taken from my card balance but there's no charge listed. I actually emailed Kohl's to find out if there's a problem and got an auto response saying due to an increase in email inquiry it will take up to 5 days for a response.

I have two things from barnes and noble that were supposed to be delivered Monday but weren't because of the weather (at least I think that's why). They went from out for delivery to delivered to back at the post office with a expected delivery for tomorrow.

Hopefully it will all come in and I won't be running around the week before Christmas to find replacement gifts. The Macy's order is the one I'm most worried about because it's not available on the website anymore and it will be harder to find a replacement gift for that one.

Some online Macy's orders come from the physical stores, so just because it's sold out online doesn't necessarily mean you won't get it. May I ask what you ordered from them?

I ordered a Christmas outfit for DD from Kohl's only to receive an email a week later saying the order was cancelled because the item wasn't available :headache:

I've had tons of problems this year. It's been frustrating. I am STILL waiting on orders that I placed on Thanksgiving from Penney's and Kohls. One piece (out of 6 that I ordered) of my Penney's order arrived yesterday, and it was broken. Obviously shipped broken because the outer box was intact. :headache: My Kohl's order is still "processing"...I also waited for nearly a month for some items from the Disney Store and three weeks for some shoes from Crocs.

What really makes me crazy is that most of these companies tell you that your order is processing, so you cant cancel.

Amazon has shipped quickly, as have several other places I've ordered from such as, Backcountry, Hearthsong, Lands End.

I'm starting to wonder if some of my items are going to make it in time. Which really is crazy considering how long ago I ordered!

My Crocs order took forever- and it wasn't even a Christmas gift, I needed new shoes for work. My old ones had the strap broken off. It's been almost three weeks and they just shipped.
I ordered something for my DH from NFL.com that is going to ship from the manufacturer, they charged me, but I have no idea when it will ship, when to expect it, order status or anything. This was one item I simply cannot get here, or I would have purchased it in a local store.
Shopping online can be more frustrating than convenient at times.

I've only ordered from 3 places this year so far. One place I just ordered from yesterday, Amazon was quick as always but Williams-Sonoma is taking awhile.

I checked their website last night and the item I ordered 2 weeks ago is showing as backordered if I was going to order it now. It's my FIL's gift so I need time to ship it to him after I get it.
I called their customer service number and the person said it was showing as pending so they can't cancel it.

I figure I need to get him another gift so I'll be starting the hunt tomorrow and if the one I ordered ever shows up, I'm going to be returning it.

It's a purse. I checked the stock in local stores before I ordered it because I would have just gotten it from an actual store. None available locally.

It was available to order for a few days after I placed my order so hopefully they are just behind in processing orders and mine didn't get lost in processing somehow. I'll be sad if it doesn't come in. It's a gift for my mom and I got an awesome deal. I actually had already bought her something but I just couldn't pass this one up because it was too good of a discount.

My only issue is with an independent nail polish seller. DD is a nail polish junkie and I ordered several from this person for her on Black Friday because of a sale code I got from Facebook, thinking that with a sale going on, lots of orders were expected and the items would be in stock. Checked today and the order still says "unfulfilled." I hesitated to order from this person again since when I ordered from their Etsy store for DD's birthday the package arrived a week after the birthday although I thought I ordered in plenty of time, but this time I thought I'd order through the regular website, hoping for faster service. No such luck. So far this is the only nail polish seller I've had any issues with-the others have all been prompt with their delivery and some even included artful packaging, free extras, and handwritten thank you notes with my order. Hopefully it will arrive on time but if not DD will have something to look forward to after Christmas.

I ordered from Amazon on Monday Nov 2. Used the "Free Shipping option (never again, big, big mistake).

It Shipped on Friday. The shipping is being handled by a carrier named CEVA (never hear of them). So they ask me to call them to arrange delivery time. We agreed on today, between ten and two.

Two thirty arrives, and nothing. I call, and I'm told they are "running a little late", but will be here soon. Wait for another hour an a half. Call again. CS tells me to call driver. I do, and driver has nothing for me...what the..?

I call CEVA again, and they tell me that the TV is in Pa, (I'm in FL) and they don't know when it will be here. SERIOUSLY?

This is the worst service I've ever received from Amazon

Frustrated, you ask? I'm LIVID

ETA: Oh, I'm reading how Amazon has been speedy to all of you... why meeeee!!!! ::(:

Wow. That's way worse than what I've been waiting. I feel bad complaining now.
I hope your stuff comes in soon. Just remember a little Baileys in your hot chocolate does wonders.

CEVA is often used for larger items. How big was the TV you ordered? They are technically a "freight" company. Depending on the size of the item, it may have been the cheaper option (especially since it is "free" shipping).

I have had no issues with Amazon this year (or any other time of the year). In fact, I have been receiving orders FASTER then it says. I have Prime so get free 2 day shipping. I have gotten at least half my packages next day (as long as the order was not on a weekend).

Thanks. Got to get me some Baileys!

55 inches. This is the first time I've ever had trouble with Amazon.

I've had no apologies or even a reply from CEVA, but Amazon was very apologetic and told me if I didn't get the TV by the 19th they will send another one or refund the money.

I don't want the money. I want the TV. But I got a pretty good deal on this TV, so I'm wondering if I'd get a similar tv (55 inch LG LED smart tv) or if they will send whatever is at the price I paid, which now will not get me a similar tv

I want the TV I bought!

Amazon Prime is the best thing since sliced bread....I love it. I have gotten all my orders within the 2 days and I even contacted them to return a CD I bought and they told me they would refund my money but did not have to return the CD to them...they said just keep it but we will process your refund. I was shocked.

I've only ordered online at 2 places, Amazon and a place that makes custom baseball gloves.

Amazon has been amazing as always, but we are Prime, so I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not.

For the baseball glove, we ordered at the end of October, because that was the deadline in order to guarantee a xmas delivery. The glove arrived about a week ago. :)

For those of you waiting, I understand your frustration and anxiety. That is why this year I did more in-store shopping when those same items were available in store.

:cool1: I'm getting one of my things today. The other can't seem to make it out of the state of WA. At the rate its going, there is no way its going to make it NY by Christmas.

I ordered a pair of pjs from Kohls. I had a 40% off coupon. They took the money out of my account and then gave me a shipping date and a range of 4 days that I would receive the order. In the middle of the "receiving" range, I got an email that said they had cancelled the order!! No reason given. I looked on the web site and they still had the same pjs listed as "available." Of course, they are now full price. I didn't reorder. And I won't order from Kohls again!!

Is anyone else frustrated with online shopping this Christmas? I have orders from two stores that have been stuck in "processing for shipping" for a week now. It's started to really annoy me. One of the orders is an item that is now out of stock on the website and I'm starting to get nervous that it won't ship.

Everything I have ordered so far has come ahead of when it was schedule for. Things ordered from Walmart on Thanksgiving Day showed up on Saturday (even though they were scheduled for the following Friday!). Things also have showed up early from Amazon, Etsy, LLBean, Gamestop and one Ebay seller. Very impressed with all the shipping companies (including USPS) so far.

My Macy's order ended up cancelled. I called yesterday morning and was told it was all set and waiting on courier pickup.
I checked a few hours later and it was on backorder with no anticipated ship date. I called and cancelled it. I'm very annoyed with Macy's.
The money was back in my account yesterday but this morning the pending charge is back.

Yep, I'm waiting for a Kohl's order. I ordered it 12/4 and just went into my account today to check the status and it says "in fulfullment." I called them and got a recording that says not to worry if your order says that - they say we should get everything by 12/24. Unfortunately, I need mine by 12/20. It's a gift for my boss, and it must be cursed. I already purchased the item in a Kohl's store and I've lost it! It is driving me nuts - I just can't imagine where I could have put it. I probably threw it in the trash somehow because I really don't think it's in my house - I've looked everywhere. So I ordered it on line and now it looks like I'm not going to get it in time. Still holding out hope that even though it says "in fulfillment" it has already been shipped. But just in case, I'm probably going to go to Kohl's this weekend and buy it for the third time!! (if they still even have the item in the store.)
