Ordering online and order fulfillment

The money was back in my account yesterday but this morning the pending charge is back.

i think i had the strangest's charge on my account... I ordered from at&t for a waterproof case in September, it was cancelled 2 days later do to none in stock. About 2 weeks ago, i see a charge for $5 with some unknown company(ATT uses weird names to charge its customers). checked it out via forum and it seems like people are being charged for the case and they actually got it 3 months after the fact...

My charge later dropped off my credit card, but it was very bizarre.

As for Amazon Prime, if this keeps up, i think i might just go with standard amazon... all my items are taking 1 week to arrive instead of the 2 days...

I ordered something from walmart.com on dec 5 for my husband as a santa present. It was supposed to be here dec 7. Well I'm in north texas got slammed by that ice storm. I check the tracking yesterday they were here at 9 in the morning but was undeliverable cause we were not here. I only have 2 cars one is stuck in an icy spot and my truck is in the drive. We were home. This item does not need a signature:mad: just drop it off on the porch. I think my mailman is lazy and doesn't want to deliver it

I ordered from The Gap on Nov 29. They just shipped the items yesterday. That's been the worst of the bunch. I do feel that I've been waiting a few days longer for each shipment than I'm used to.

I order the same day from Old Navy and I noticed 2 days ago, it finally got processed and my arrival day is suppose to be tomorrow.

If you read any news articles, everyone is shopping online and I think delivery companies cannot handle all the orders. I also noticed the Post Office is delivering many more of my packages, vs. UPS or FED EX. I don't get it, when UPS has my order and then delivers it to my post office. It sits at my post office 2 days, before it gets delivered. But my post man brings it right up to my door, I don't have to go down to the post office and pick it up. I really need to get my post man a Christmas gift.

This thread reminded me I had an outstanding order from Kohl's. I placed it online last Friday, monies came out of our account same day and the delivery timeline when ordering was delivered by the 16th. Just logged on, it's "in fulfillment" with a delivery time frame of 12/12-12/23.

Hopefully it comes by the 23rd, I've got a Christmas sweater and some stocking stuffers in addition to sweaters for work. :scared:

I ordered from Amazon on Monday Nov 2. Used the "Free Shipping option (never again, big, big mistake).

It Shipped on Friday. The shipping is being handled by a carrier named CEVA (never hear of them). So they ask me to call them to arrange delivery time. We agreed on today, between ten and two.

Two thirty arrives, and nothing. I call, and I'm told they are "running a little late", but will be here soon. Wait for another hour an a half. Call again. CS tells me to call driver. I do, and driver has nothing for me...what the..?

I call CEVA again, and they tell me that the TV is in Pa, (I'm in FL) and they don't know when it will be here. SERIOUSLY?

This is the worst service I've ever received from Amazon

Frustrated, you ask? I'm LIVID

ETA: Oh, I'm reading how Amazon has been speedy to all of you... why meeeee!!!! ::(:

I have done 100% of my Christmas shopping at Amazon. My kids are older, so are getting a kick out of the UPS truck arriving on a daily basis. They are eyeing the boxes trying to figure out what is in them, trying to guess if it is one thing in the box or 3. It has become a fun holiday tradition :rotfl: They were really bummed when they realized the two xbox 1's were for the neighbors.

I have put in about 30 orders and they have all arrived within the 2 day Prime delivery or earlier.

Except......

for the 70" TV.

Like you, that was delayed by a couple of days. However we were having weather, so it was stuck in Arizona (we are in Colorado.) I fully understand the weather delay

What bothered me is that an adult was required to be there for delivery. Our delivery window was from 9-12 one morning. My husband worked from home during that time.

At 10:30 the shipping company (Pilot) called to reschedule the shipment. Ummm...they knew the TV was not there when you loaded the truck the night before. They should have called or e-mailed and said there was a weather delay. Then DH would not have stayed home.

They did deliver it during the next delivery window two days later.

However, I have to take part of the blame. I did check the tracking information that previous night and did see it was still in Arizona. I could also have picked up the phone to confirm or reschedule delivery.

If they ship you out another TV, it will be the same model as you ordered.

Edited to add:
Is there an Amazon Lightning Deal addiction program? I downloaded the app on my phone and dang if every time I look at it, there is something listed that is on one of my family's lists. At least with Lightning Deals, the price is good or better than many of the other places I have looked locally - and bonus, no tax. Although that may end next year. Our little town is looking at requiring us to declare online items to pay the sales tax.

Yep, I'm waiting for a Kohl's order. I ordered it 12/4 and just went into my account today to check the status and it says "in fulfullment." I called them and got a recording that says not to worry if your order says that - they say we should get everything by 12/24. Unfortunately, I need mine by 12/20. It's a gift for my boss, and it must be cursed. I already purchased the item in a Kohl's store and I've lost it! It is driving me nuts - I just can't imagine where I could have put it. I probably threw it in the trash somehow because I really don't think it's in my house - I've looked everywhere. So I ordered it on line and now it looks like I'm not going to get it in time. Still holding out hope that even though it says "in fulfillment" it has already been shipped. But just in case, I'm probably going to go to Kohl's this weekend and buy it for the third time!! (if they still even have the item in the store.)

Now that my Macy's order is cancelked, I'm not holding out hope for Kohls. There is obviously a problem with Kohls handling the orders they received. I called today and got that same recording. I waited 20 minutes to talk to someone but I gave up.

My expected delivery is 12/09-12/18. I don't really see how it's going to arrive by 12/18 when we have a big storm on the way this weekend but I'll wait until then to call back.

I really wish they'd just quickly cancel orders if hey can't keep up with processing them. The more time I have to find new items, the easier it is for me to find good deals. I hate the idea of having to scramble and pay more last minute for something I could have bought earlier at a better price. Plus I need the items before the 24th so their recording that it will arrive by the 24th doesn't do much for me.

I have had some absolutely wonderful online shopping too. Ll bean somehow had my items delivered the next day. I just used their regular free shipping but the order was processed and shipped the same morning I ordered and delivered the next day.

you think so? all my amazon purchases now have requires 1-2 days before shipping on top of the 2 day shipping.

them using all USPS is more annoying then ever, crappy tracking system... i wish they would still use other services like ontrac(southwest states only).

Amazon is only using USPS for the smaller packages, not for everything.

99% of my orders have been delivered by UPS. I have received one from a different vendor, but fulfilled by Amazon, through USPS and the TV was delivered by a freight company. But that is it. Only 2 by USPS.

I am surprised you are having such a problem. Are the items you are ordering all eligible for Prime? Not everything on the site is, so that may be your delay.

Only having problems with one store--it's an online only place. I can't get them to respond about the order, not via email or FB. Frustrating, to say the least--12 days before Christmas and I'm waiting on DH's presents!

Blue Box Tees, get on the ball!!!!

Other than them, nope. Did all my shopping online---Amazon, Walmart, Julep....all came on time or sooner than expected. I have 6 more presents I'm waiting on, besides the tshirts from BBT (and one from Weekly Shirts, but at least she responded to my email about the order, so I'm not going to complain about her). Two are stuck in South Carolina (supposed to be delivered today, but will be here Monday, I'm sure); one is a pre-order and I should get it Tuesday; and the last 3 I just ordered them today, and will have them here by the 20th for the last one.

Anyone waiting on Kohl's, keep an eye on your email. I just got a $25 email giftcard because they are taking so long to fulfill their orders.

It has been pretty smooth with almost every order I've placed online. I've only run into a delay with Ulta. I placed an order on 12/9 ( stocking stuffers mostly) and it is still "processing". They're slow to ship orders typically, but not this bad. I don't know if my order will make it here in time for Christmas.

Frustrated with Joanne's.

I ordered from them on 12/7. as of 12/14, it still has not shipped.

Ugh, the order I got from Macy's the other day is the wrong color wallet and they don't have the right one in stock anymore  I'm supposed to get my matching purse on Monday so it better be the right color.

im also having trouble with a khols order i placed on 12/2. i finally called them yesterday because the order should have been delivered by yesterday. i was on hold for about 20 minutes before i was able to talk to someone who was less than kind or informative. after 15 minutes of trying to get a straight answer from her i asked to talk to someone else. she transferred me and i was on hold again for quite a bit. i went to someones voice mail. i tried to press 0 to get to someone else and was disconnected. i called back and again was on hold for almost 30 mins.

finally i get someone else, he said about the weather...im sorry, but if the item was on the truck i could understand...but it is still in your warehouse! that has nothing to do with the weather! he told me that actually NO items purchased on dec 1,2 or 3 had been shipped because there was an issue with the warehouse.

i ordered a christmas tree....i do not want to be setting up a tree on christmas eve. he said he upgraded the shipping to priority air and that it would go out the 12th or 13th. as of today the shipping label has been created but not sent out yet. i doubt i will be getting it monday or tuesday.

i will never order from them online again. oh, the first lady told me to go buy it from the store and ship the other back to them when i get it. um, i would prefer not to give you my money twice and it was on sale when i bought it online and i had a gift card balance that i used.

grrr....i am listening to the kids ask "when are we getting a treeeee" every day. this one was a surprise for my daughter who wanted a white one.

Is anyone else frustrated with online shopping this Christmas? I have orders from two stores that have been stuck in "processing for shipping" for a week now. It's started to really annoy me. One of the orders is an item that is now out of stock on the website and I'm starting to get nervous that it won't ship.

My only issue has been with the personalized necklace I got for my DMIL. But, I knew it was going to be close. I just got a shipping notice today, and it's coming via USPS...ugh. I placed one more order this morning, a jacket from getzs.com, but paid extra to get it here on Thursday via UPS, so I'm not concerned about that one.

around halloween the disney store had a promo for like 25% off your entire order, plus free personalization on all the personalize-able items. i bought all the toys for my nephew's and DF's goddaughter then, including a personalized mickey onesie for my nephew because he's coming on our trip in february.

i got an email two weeks later saying due to the increase demand for personalizations, my order would take longer than expected. i emailed guest services and said it was unacceptable, if they couldn't meet the increased demand caused by hosting a sale, they shouldn't be having a sale. so they shipped out everything else but the onesie. a month and a half later now and i still don't have it.

Amazon-- :thumbsup2
Thinkgeek-- :thumbsup2
Bestbuy-- after a week and a half of processing, my son's Wii-u finally shipped.
Kohls-- ridiculous, but my order was for household items rather than gifts, so I don't mind. Got a $25 gift card for the wait.

I have had a horrible time with Kohl's. I placed my first order on the day before Thanksgiving, and even though the order status shows shipped it never left their warehouse. I called Fed Ex, verified with them and they said it was never requested for pick up, just the label requested.

So...back and forth with customer service at least 3 times and they were "certain" it would be here LAST Monday or Tuesday...still nothing. They (Kohl's) tried to tell me that Fed Ex wasn't updating their tracking info on their website. I told her I talked to Fed Ex and they assured me that it hadn't been in the hands of a Fed Ex handler, period.

SO...in her best customer service wonder...she decides it would be best for me to place a second order "just in case". She was going to change my first order to a "mis-ship" and credit me back the charges and then re-order it...but she emphasized over and over that there was no doubt in her mind I would get the items from my first order.
Upon trying to re-order, of course only the socks were available (which was NOT what I was concerned about - but she did order a comparable Doc McStuffins item for my niece).

The very next day I get an "updated shipping info" from Kohls from the first order - saying there was an additional tracking #. I'm thinking "yeah - it's on it's way". :lmao: NO.
And that very same day one pair of yoga shorts from the original order came and nothing else. The tracking # matched the new one they gave me literally hours before.

I have called, sent an email with NO reply whatsoever, and my original order STILL hasn't been credited.

All I wanted was for them to fess up and admit that the remaining items in the first order were NOT shipped on that original tracking as stated on my order status email and credit me. The tracking # STILL shows San Bernadino, CA and hasn't changed since the very first day. :(

I am so peeved right now. I haven't gotten a gift certificate offer or anything. I'll know better next year. :( I just went out and purchased replacement items at this point. If I have to take things back (if I get them) I will but I shouldn't HAVE to.

Kohls has been taking forever!
Old Navy has been slower than usual, but has managed to have everything arrive by the promised time. They had to overnight some cozy socks I bought for myself!

I work in retail, and our store has recently started filling orders for online. Its pure madness! UPS must love/hate us because the UPS man is now picking up 200+ packages a day...Mondays its usually 500+
