Help...

I just tried calling Disney Dining 4 different times and nobody could help me. We'll be celebrating my DD's 4th birthday at CRT and I would like a cake instead of separate desserts. Nobody knew anything about ordering a cake. Can it be done? I swear I read about this!

And if it can't be done in a restaurant, I might want a cake delivered to our room...any ideas? (We'll be staying at the Port Orleans French Quarter...I think they have a bakery...maybe they'll be able to do a cake).

Thanks!

Last april a good friend of mine was staying at the AKL and I called the front desk there and they put me in touch with in room dining and I explained that it was his birthday and what I was looking for, a nice cake with happy birthday, etc. Not only did they bake him a beautiful cake and decorate it, they also included a bottle of wine and had the table in his room all set up with the cake and wine and glasses and confetti! I think they also included the card!
So my suggestion is to call the front desk and explain to them what you want and they should be able to help you!

We stayed at Boardwalk Villas last year and I had also called the hotel directly and spoke with the front desk. They gave me the number for the boardwalk bakery and I ordered the cake from them. The lobby supplied some balloons for us. Also we had the birthday dinner at LTT and the characters were awesome--they brought out a special desert and sang happy birthday. Don't forget to stop by Town Hall at MK and get a button that says "It's my birthday". It will make your daughter feel really special. We got the button for my husband's b-day as kind of a joke and he got so much attention. They sang or announced it on so many rides. They even had everyone on the jungle cruise sing! Have fun!

I don't know it this helps you or not, but I called today to make a PS at Chef Mickey's for a birthday celebration and they told me that they would give the birthday person a cupcake if it was available or we could order a 6" cake for $10 - they said we just ask the hostess for either one of those when we get there. They also gave me a number in case I needed a bigger cake, it's 407-824-2978.

Hopefully you'll have better luck than I did. I wanted a birthday cake at O'hana for my husband's 30th birthday ... I called the Poly front desk and they connected me to guest services, and then they connected me to O'hana, and then they connected me with the restaurant manager... then I finally ordered a cake with him. He even called me back at home to make sure everything was correct. He said that when we got to the restaurant that night to tell the host/hostess, so I did. Well, they never brought the cake. I was so upset I cried. :(

We celebrated a birthday last year at Garden Grill. We went with another family and it was their daughters birthday the day we arrived. We had booked the Candlelight Procession and at The Land's Garden Grill for dinner. When we checked in I told the CM that we were celebrating a birthday. Well while I was in the bathroom with one of my girls the characters came to the table with a few of the waiters/waitresses and sang happy b-day and brough out a small cake too! It was enough for the 8 of us and we didn't even finish it all.

We were not charged anything for it. We had already paid for our package anyway, but they did not charge us for the cake. It was a nice surprise.
