I just discovered that Orbitz has a "Buy 3 tickets, get the 4th day free!" Disneyland ticket special right now! Does anyone know how long this will last? I hadn't planned on buying my tickets right now, since our trip is in March, but if this deal won't be around for long I should probably reconsider.

I believe they've been on special for a while. I'm still waiting for a better ebates % before I purchase, so hopefully they'll stay on sale for a while longer!

Me too! Last February was the 20% cash back. I am hoping for that again!

How does the ebates thing work? That plus the "4th day free" special seems like a great deal!

I don't really get what ebates is. Can someone explain that to me?

Simply put, ebates is a site that you go to before you shop online and the go to your online shopping site through their links. When you buy something from one of the stores by going via ebates, you get a % of your purchase as cash back. Then, once a quarter ebates sends you your money. I have mine set up to get deposited directly to my paypal account but you can also request a cheque, at least you can in Canada.

Not all shops are linked through ebates but before I buy anything online I check on ebates to see if they are and if so, I go through there. You can also earn bonus $ by referring people.

So far I have earned over $165 with my next payment of a little over $125, just for shopping as I would normally! :cool1:

Hope that explained it a bit!

I LOVE ebates. I've heard people talk about it forever, but I finally joined in November and have already made $32 cash back and a $10 target giftcard fr joining.

The jist of it is you are using them as a click through site. You go to ebates, click the place you want to shop through them and it seems they get a kickback for that, in turn kicking some cash back to you. They list tons of coupons and promo codes. It's the best!

The only place I ever make online purchases is Amazon though. So other than maybe getting our tickets from Orbitz...I doubt I'd make anything.

There was 20% cash back from Orbitz last year?? So if I were to spend $600 on park tickets, I'd get $120 back?? That would be fantastic. But I don't want to wait until February 1st to get tickets.

Amazon.ca is on ebates.ca so it Amazon.com might be on ebates.com!

The Canadian one is only 1-2% but hey, it's 1 or 2% cash back for doing very little so why not? :confused3

I looked a while back and I think it was only for specific things on amazon like shoes and whatnot. Didn't see much at all of the things we buy.

Does anyone know why you have to put dates in to get the this ticket special from Orbitz? We won't be going until December 14,2015, but I wanted to price the tickets out to see if it was worth getting them this far in advance. It won't let me choose past 12/3.

It's possible their contact with Disney expires then and they can't commit to selling them past that date.

But dates don't matter with Disney tickets anyway. They do with other tickets which is why they have a date feature on the site. In guess it's easier to code the website to ask for a date all the time rather than have it figure when a date is needed and when it is not

I'm pretty sure dates do matter. On the disneyland.com site where you purchase tickets, it says this at the bottom....

The first day of use of multi-day tickets must be on or before December 31, 2015. Multi-day tickets must be used within 13 days of first use or by January 13, 2016, whichever occurs first.

Exact dates don't really matter (until first use.) But you can't buy tickets now and use them in 2016 or beyond.

Ebates also has a download that will automatically tell you if a place you are shopping is Ebates eligible. No more going to Ebates to search a store or product. it couldn't be more simpler.

So I went to ebates and clicked on the orbitz deals. But it looks like in order to get any cash back...you have to book a package. So...I don't get any cash back if I just book park tickets? Lame.

Also, I installed the button thingy and then I went to amazon to see what would happen. I thought it was supposed to tell me if there was an amazon deal. But...no. So I clicked the button and it just wants to show me a bunch of irrelevant coupons or whatever. Then I go to search amazon in their little search thingy...and it takes me back to the ebates site and again, shows me irrelevant stuff. And keeps making me alter by ad-block stuff.

I must be missing something because this seems pretty annoying and awful.

DL tickets are considered an activity, so 3% cash back right now. As for the button, I can't help you. I've never installed it, I just click through ebates site.

For some reason when I try to buy orbitz tickets it wants me to enter dates and it won't accept my January dates so I entered February dates and it will accept those.

Do these dates matter for my tickets? Will I still be able to exchange the ticket voucher for my trip in January?

I don't see any that are for an activity.

When I go, I see a list of 10 orbitz coupons.

And when I click to take me to the orbitz site, I only see these.

Ok, go to ebates.com main page. Search Orbitz in the search box at the top. Select Orbitz. Then click on the large orange up to 6.5% off button search now button. (to the right of it, it mentions 3% off activities)
