Dh is meeting a buddy in Jan for a few days of golf then when he leaves I am joining him in Orlando for a few days at WDW. He's looking at a week at Orange Lake-including 4 rounds of golf for 2 people at just under $1400. Is this a good price? Any comments on the resort? They will want two beds in the 1 bedroom, I imagine, but will it still be a romantic getaway when I join him?

I don't golf, so I don't know what that part is worth, but it sounds like WAY too much. You can get the resort pretty easily except at Christmas time or Spring break.

thanks for the reply- I think golf for the two of them will cost approx 800.00 so the rest is the room. What is the usual cost of a one bedroom? Does it require a timeshare presentation and if so to what benefit and are they pushy?

Thanks!

I don't think that a 1-bedroom has 2 beds. One King in the master and generally a queen sleeping sofa.

You probably need a 2-bedroom.

no you don't need to go through a timeshare presentation unless you want one - it definitely will save you money.

go through
www.tug2.net - look in the classified and on the BBS - last minute rentals.

www.redweek.com - you have to join to look here.

sometimes (not by any means alot) it shows up here
www.skyauction.com

I think you might like a Marriott a little better. Both OL and Marriott sit on golf courses. but Marriott generally better care of their golf courses than OL seems too.

look in the same places.
