:thumbsup2 Just remember to pick up the transport schedule from the main desk when you check in, they do vary the buses from time to time... the last bus may be very busy .
There are a few Wal-Mart Supercentres in the Kissimmee area, 3250 Vineland Road FL 34746, 1471 East Osceola Parkway FL 34744 and 4444 West Vine FL 34746. There's a Walgreens with a pharmacy just down the SR535 from the Comfort Inn near Chick-a fill and Wendys, you can find them on a Google map or Mapquest some of them have good descriptions and reviews too.
We have not been to the west coast side of Florida but I'm sure you can find plenty to do.
Your last day will depend on when your flight leaves, given that you still need to be at the airport at least an hour before hand. If you don't fly until say 6.30pm you could park hop for a few hours and get a counter service meal at a favourite haunt and the get the bus back to DTD but allow plenty of time for that last bus:thumbsup2 Enjoy your trip ;)

WOW! I'm tired just reading all that :) You have certainly had your planning hat on there eh? Seriously it all sounds great.

We preffer to take the car to BB in-case it gets too buisy or too hot and then we can always go someplace else instead of having to get the bus back.

We usually just stay at DTD on our last day, have never been to Gatorland so can't be of any help there.

That's a great price you got by the way ;) Well Done.:)

I can't comment on the bus situation as we stay on site when we go to Orlando. My only comment is that you are arriving at the parks quite late in the morning. Personally I would try to get to the parks earlier so you can collect more fast passes before it gets busy then you can use them later in the day when more people are in the parks (the CM's o not look at the end time on your fast pass, you can use them after tht time.) Only spending one day in each park I would suggest you do some more reserch about how to get the most out of your time there.
Have a great trip.

If you leave AK at 3:35 you'll miss the parade at 4pm.

We like to spend our last day at MGM - have a good meal (Sci-Fi diner is our favourite) and then leave for airport 4pm ish. If you'ved checked in at DTD you don't need to be at the airport too early.

Not everyone wants to spend lots of time in Disney....OMG I can't believe I wrote that :lmao: but it's true for some LOL. Families who go frequently (lucky people) may not want to stay for the parades etc but only do their favourite rides etc and then go out for something to eat our shopping;)

BTW Loates123 have a look at A Brit's Guide to Orlando and WDW by Simon Veness there are some great ideas for alternative days out in that book.

We had originally booked the Comfort Inn LBV too but last Christmas Virgin had some fab Disney hotel offers and we managed to get All Star Movies (for 2 wks cheaper than the Comfort Inn we were very amazed) we still saved about £240 by swapping location.

My only comment is that you are arriving at the parks quite late in the morning.

Funnily enough, we used to bust our balls to be at the park at opening time, but on our last two visits we decided to get there about midday on occasions and I must say I enjoyed the day even more.

We just had more energy at the end of the day and were still going strong when most were wilting and leaving the park.

Going in September had a bearing on this though, as the crowds were lower.

thanks for that which one is the best and biggest wal-mart
planning my trip like hell just need to save the right one into my tomtom 910, if there are any other supermarkets etc worth going too let me know address so i can add them, think i will get all the clothes i want at prem outlet, bellz on id was rubbish..

also seen the animal kingdom parade last time i was there thats why i am leaving early

going to other parks later due to probs being on the drink the night b4, but may do epcot or magic kingdom early if fass passes go fast can someone give me more info. mgm is my least fav park thats why i am not doing that early and want to see the show at 9pm missed it last time, but got on all the big rides as eveyone was at the show.

what will busch garden be like on a saturday hoping to get there early.

also think ill drive to bizzard beach our far is it from where i am staying. also any good cheap drinking places near the confort inn?

reason i got good prices is hours of research and great timing in january with virgin oh a few discounts codes and a mistake of vigin with email so gave me free insurance and free car.

There's a really good "Publix supermarket" up the road from the Premuim outlets near Dolly's Dixie Stampede. We actually walked to it one day when we stopped at the Springhill Suites. They even have a fresh hot food section, family sized meat joints and fresh fish, lots of fresh fruit and veg, bottles of fresh juices and lots of soft drinks and water , Beer and Wine section and loads of toiletries so very much like the supermarkets here.
Busch Gardens might be busy but if you get there closer to the opening time you should be able to get around fine.
There's a liquor store around the corner at the Vista shopping area you can see the Irish pub there from the Comfort Inn, forgot to mention Goodings down at the Crossroads they also have a fantasic booze section.

we have stayed at Comfort Inn LBV - very nice location, good food. some rooms are noisy- try to get one that does not face the very busy highway !
:car: :boat: :car: :moped:

The only problem we had were with buses- they did not arrive on time and were loaded. :crowded: and I like to arrive early :yay:

Hi Loates, our holidays overlap a little. We arrive on the 14th and are staying at the Comfort Inn LBV also :)

I wish the search function worked on here, I have been given loads of great advice about the area but I can't find it now :( There is a place close to the hotel called the Orlando Ale House. If you exit the hotel and turn left down Palm Parkway until you come to the junction with Apopka Vineland Rd (SR535), cross straight over at the junction, and the pub is about 100 metres along on the right hand side.

There is also a shopping area. Again if you walk to the junction with Palm Parkway and SR535, turn left, and then take a left at the next set of lights, this takes you into the 'Crossroads'. There is a 24hr Goodings supermarket here, and also 2 18 hole mini-golf courses, called Pirate's Cove up at the back of the mall.

Hth :)

:thumbsup2 Definitely ask for a room on the parking lot side we had room 1435 (high floor) close to the lift and not far from the Lite Bite and the hotel restaurant, the play ground was a short walk away too accessible by room key only. We hardly heard the traffic on that side of the hotel and we could see the security staff at the check point at the front of the hotel :drinking1 BTW the bar staff were excellent with the drinks they had a great choice of beers and lager draught or bottled plus cocktails etc, they even do food at the bar to take back to your room. Near the hotel there's a Dominos, Cicis pizza, a Pizza Hut, Olive garden, a couple of chinese restaurants, and Steak 'n' Shake.
There is a TGI Fridays at the Crossroads as well as a McDonalds and a few other restaurants as well as a hair salon and a Sony shop so well worth a browse around the area. Close by there's also a wonderful Dennys diner which does the most amazing steaks mmmm.....
If you use mapquest put in the address 8442 Palm Parkway FL32836 and select restaurants near by and then you'll get a better idea.we have not used the Wal-mart supercentres so can't comment on which one is better but someone on here will know.Perhaps use the search tab at the top and see if you get a result.

is it the super wal-marts i want as that is what my tomtom can pick up from here.
loads of them too.

anyone know po times

We stayed at the Hilton for four days and really enjoyed it, the hotel is not far from the pier where all the traders set up stalls, some nice souvenirs at reasonable prices :)

Nearby there are dolphin sightseeing trips which is a nice trip for a few hours, and great to see the dolphins jumping and playing in the wake that the boats make.

Also, would it be easier if you were to visit Busch Gardens on the day you return from Clearwater, rather than driving out to BG and back to Orlando again in the same day? it's only about an hour from Clearwater :)

Enjoy your hols!
