definitely not in reference to OP

but (devil's advocate again), it works both ways. i doubt you will find many ppl who will actually admit to believing "the world revolves around them", but these same people can easily be both the one being awakened by noise, or the ones making the noise.
as considerate as we try to be, i will readily admit that we are human , and occasionally get wrapped up in a moment - i can't count how many times we've been awakened at night, hit by strollers, had the person in front of us leave their hat on during a show, been bumped into, etc.
the reverse side of the coin: i know i've accidentally bumped into people (no, i don't yell at them for stopping short - if i was paying attention, i would've stopped

), unintentionally walked through someone's photo, stopped suddenly, spoken or laughed too loudly for the time/place. i don't think i'm self-involved, but sometimes we lose sight of our surroundings/time.
