Just looking for some opinions on whether DVC would exercise ROFR for $72/pp at OKW? The points would still need extending and therefore DVC would be collecting that additional $20? pp.

My opinion is that yes, they will ROFR at that price, I'm guessing the ROFR is now closer to $85 or so, but that's just a guess. the reason is that any OKW contract is easy profit for them as they buy it on the cheap and sell it as an "extended contract" for $101.

I just passed at $76 with a loaded contract

190 June UY
179 banked from 2007
106 banked from 2006 (have to use by June 1st)

Obviously, they weren't looking to snatch up at $76 and sale at $101. However, $72 is only 5% lower than $76 so I wonder if it is worth 5% if you really want the property. If you wanted a new $2000 TV would you decide not to buy just because you couldn't get it for $1900?????

Someone posted on a thread that they passed at $74 per point today on a 150 pt. contract.

I'd guess that $72 pp would be gobbled up by Disney, though. Maybe you'd have a chance if it was a huge (500+ point) contract, but even then I wouldn't be too confident.

It looks to me as though there are lots of OKW contracts out there in the resale market. I would offer the $72 and see if it passes ROFR. If Disney takes it, then you know that you should offer higher on the next contract you try. If it passes, then you've saved yourself another $1 or so per point. Unless you "have to have a contract soon", just try an offer and see what happens. With the present state of the economy, I don't think that there will be an overwhelming demand for resales in the next few months.

You may want to check out this thread. "Donald is # 1" does an unbelievable job with listing this stuff, you'll be able to get a good grasp of what is passing and what is not. Good Luck.

Well there is a contract on TSS for $67/pp at OKW and it's only 232pts but it's stripped w/ nothing until 10/09.

And the prices are all over the place w/ no rhyme or reason to why something is listed at a higher price.

I've looked at the ROFR thread but it holds such a small % of what is actually being bought and sold so I'm more or less looking for plain old opinions. LOL
