Opinions on Confrontations?

Most of the time I let it slide--UNLESS it affects children. I once had people try to keep wedging into space two little girls were sitting in for a parade while their mom was off getting popcorn. I thought it was going to get ugly when I finally had to get "toney" with them but the father of the family next to us looked ready to back me up if the squatters didn't move on.

I am blessed enough to go a few times a year--if someone outruns me for a spot in line, or gets to a spot before me for a parade or fireworks it is easier for me to let it roll off.

Plus--I usually have my DGS with me and I need to set the "happy place" example.

On our last trip we grabbed a hamburger at PB's. While waiting in line at the condoment bar, the guy before megoes to get tomatoes. There were 4 or 5 left, and anyone whose been there know 1 slice can pretty much cover the whole burger, but I was figuring he'd take the normal two, I would. No he looks at me and the guy waiting on the other side, grins and deliberately takes all of them. So I just kinda say in passing "oh yer gonna take all of them huh?" Well I guess the guy was looking for a fight so he responds "there were only 4 left smart***". I couldn't resist... I bad and I appologize to my DIS family. I turn to him and say "yes I may be a smart*** at times, but I bet you're a jack*** all the time" and I pranced away.
