Opinions of The Wish

We have done the Wish twice. The first time we really disliked the layout of the ship and how cramped the MDR's were. For the second cruise we were fully expecting to skip the MDR's because of how crowded they felt and the noise level. Because we really lowered our expectations we enjoyed the ship a little more but not enough to change our mind that it is our least favorite Disney ship. Unfortunately most of the design flaws are baked in and cannot be changed beyond small tweaks.

I'm basically only sailing her in November because my best friend is getting married on the Wish. Otherwise, the whole Triton Class would probably be a pass for me - though I'm keeping an open mind because the Haunted Mansion Lounge and the Moana show slated for the Treasure do intrigue me even if their whole focus on family seems like they're saying "solo cruisers not welcome" without saying it.

I do know I'll have free time in the evening for 2 nights as The Little Mermaid and Aladdin are my 2 least favorite Disney movies. So I can do some exploring then since it's just a 3-night.

Perhaps this is for another thread but I'd be curious to know why you think the Wish eiffers from the other ships in terms of solo cruisers

Not the Wish. The Treasure. I addressed it on the thread when they did the Treasure reveal video. But basically...

That whole promo piece for the Treasure all the guy did was end up sad because he was alone and not with family. The whole Coco restaurant is focused on family. The early marketing on it just feels like it's family and that solos will be sad.

We sailed on the Wish last year and actually really enjoyed it. Planning on sailing again in 2025.
