I am trying to decide which one to buy without just making a quick purchase. I am not really wanting either one to cut out letters since I have a Cricut but I want to be able to do the embossing.

Any thoughts from either side???

Tell me more about Cuttlebug as cherry on Top has a discount code which I'm wondering if I can use without DH noticing yet ANOTHER parcel arriving from the US:rolleyes1

I've not seen the cuttlebug up close. I know that their dies are slimmer in height than Sizzix, but you can still use them in the Sizzix machine if you add the adapter to take up the space. But can you use the Sizzix in the Cuttlebug?

Cuttlebug Features

This is on the Cuttlebug site, when they say any die, I'm guessing that would include the sizzix too.

Cuttlebug accepts the dies you already own.
Cuttlebug loves the materials you love, freeing you to cut and emboss from a wide range of crafting materials.
Compact fold-n-store profile allows storage in less space than other leading machines.
With a built-in pop-up handle, Cuttlebug goes wherever you find inspiration.

Do I feel a purchase coming on......;)

Of course:) just can't decide which one. I'm thinking of going to Michaels and giving the Cuttlebug a try. It is much smaller than the big kick. I really just want something to do the embossing, not the alphabet. I'll let you all know what I decide.

Many LSS around me have demo's of the Cuttlebug (I haven't been because they're in the day). Maybe you could check for one in your area.

That's a great idea! I'll have to check it out and see if they have any coming up.

I got the Cuttlebug yesterday. I'm like you--I wanted it for the embossing. They had it at ACMoore yesterday for $79.99. They didn't have any of the dies in yet, as they had just gotten the machine yesterday. BUT, I could use the 40% off coupon on it, so I did! :thumbsup2

Hi Folks!

Does anyone know if they work or has anyone tried using the new Quickutz Revolution dies in the Cuttlebug?

Also, when the Cuttlebug description says it takes the dies you already own does that include the big Sizzix dies as well?

Thanks! I know someone here will know the answer. I'm totally confused as to which die cut machine to buy! :confused3

I just asked at my AC Moore today and the lady told me that I could use the small Sizzix dies with the Cuttlebug using a special mat. She told me that you can't use Sizzix embossing dies with the Cuttlebug though.

so, can you use the dies in the sidekick? maggie
